I think the Puni Mofu line is done unfortunately. There were also 4 Buster Dolls plus re-colors (two of which are STILL in my backlog). Mostly I'm hoping there is something with a block 2 S body in color E so making that tan Egyptian themed Mao from the last couple of threads faster and simpler paint wise. Maybe there will be one somewhere in the desire maiden line.

Lol, no. Thank goodness. Puni Mofu, specifically Mao and Tu, are the most popular girlpla of any line or brand to date. Loli sells like some sort of unholy-infused hotcakes when there's some effort put into it. Koto will milk the 2S body for years to come. They just got their expected color variants. There'll be proper variants with some different parts most likely within the next year as is the pattern for everything they do. They're not just going to do Puni back-to-back-to-back-to-back. They've got a lot of other shit in the pipeline after all. Even minor variants take a shit ton of development time.

Mao is exceptionally popular, Tu didn't sell out on restock anywhere for a good minute. Mao also tends to hold her price better than other kits. Really only Susanowo, who is very popular, her variants, and Tsukiyomi, who hasn't gotten a re-release yet regularly maintain prices over Mao. That aren't exclusives anyway...

Anyone got in-hand shots of Yu Bo Wen Chuang's Faiz girl? Gundamit put mine on a boat instead of honoring their circa December '24 economy air shipping so I'm not gonna get to build her till New Year's.

Maybe I should splurge more on accessories from now on. 3 years been building the girls straight without any modification.

I hate using Gundamit's broken-arse site but they might be my only hope of getting Meltina.

How interchangable are Arsia joints with FAG joints?
I've got Orange Arsia's and Artyna's bonus parts and that's like 2/3rds of a girl, but I'm still missing a few key parts.
I could get either of the full Arsias and just make a Pink/White Arsia or try to get fancy/cheap with something like Materia White or Summer Hres for a kit-bash, maybe even I could use some leftover parts instead of sacrificing a whole new kit for it.

How cursed is giving Nono a plugsuit? Remember, Nono, Buster Machine No. 7, is already a robot whose body already looks like a plugsuit, and she's obviously released under the MODEROID line because of her full robot nature. And somehow, she can headswap with a freaking 30 Minutes Sisters kit.

They did some REALLY weird shit with Block 2 which kind of mars how absolutely superior the actual kit engineering is to the previous bodies. The weird ass side-loading boxes, no face decals, no proper hand sets, the weird instructions... just really questionable decisions.

The block 2 is basically a doll body that is always the same construction, probably saves on printing costs to have the instructions for it separate. The buster dolls were the same, so I can probably build the base bodies without reference to the instructions at this point. They had 4 modes rather than two so you had to parts-swap through them one at a time but at least you got a good look at each mode and then you could decide how you'd like to have the kit on your shelf. I'm more annoyed that the eye decals are sold separately even though they include 3 blank faceplates. You'll need the same sheet for marking decals if, like me, you're not a fan of the Bandai style stickers. Much like making the extra hair styles for the SST kits its own add-on kit, it like they're fiddling with what is and isn't included probably for cost reasons but I miss just having the extra heads for customs and to use with the doll bodies.

Forgot to mention that almost all the recent Koto kits, block 2 or not, seem to have those side-loading boxes which I find really hard to open. Grand Scale FAGs seem to be an exception. I can only assume they are slightly cheaper to make than the old boxes but damn some kits are over 10k now cutting corners like that is so annoying. Either that or they thought having art on the back of the box was an upgrade.

I can only assume they're doing it to enhance the "premium" feel of the product, which is important when you're marketing to the Chinese and probably makes the higher cost seem 'worth it'.

It's very much a mixed bag, sometimes they're practically unopened; other times they're broken items. I usually try to avoid it with Surugaya because I've heard some negative reviews with used items there and they're not very clear about the conditions of items. But I'm trying my luck here with Xiao to save a little money, and considering it's a newer kit it could just be an opened box or something. Will report back on how it turns out.

Oh, she's 100% fine just as-is. I bought three of them (mostly for customs), and tried out combining the tails. It's really cool in that "super long constrictor" kind of way, but it's definitely not necessary. So you're good whether you get one or multiples.
