Fuck it. This just made me check Mandarake and they had the figma with bonus for $90 so I grabbed it.

Good golly miss Molly. Goku, Char, and Yugi are still moving through the system. Char via FedEx is the fastest, although he's in Alaska for some reason. But he's in country I guess at least. Goku and Yugi cleared customs and LAX and left there last night via ECMS. Not sure who the final delivery is going to be through for it though, could just be an Amazon service since I bought them through Amazon.jp. Finally got an invoice from Amiami for Old Ben Kenobi. $35 for ECMS from them with a quote of like 2-4 weeks. Weirdly like another anon said last thread, Surface Mail, despite being quoted 2-4 MONTHS was 2,000 yen more. How fuckin weird. I paid Amiami the other day and am now just waiting for them to mail Ben. If it's like ECMS from Amazon, it won't take 2 weeks, Char and Goku shipped out Monday and are already on the way to my state. I'd imagine I'd get them either Saturday or Monday based on the rare their going. $35 is a lot but really it isn't that much more than I was paying for DHL or EMS before all this happened. And for Char I only had to pay Hobby Genki $11 for the duties to get him shipped. So, overall, if nothing weird happens, I'd say you're clear to start importing figs to the US again, at the cost of paying $10-$15 more than you used to for faster shipping. Sure, it doesn't warp to my house in like a day or two like DHL used to do it, but a week isn't bad imo.

Anyway, thanks for reading my blog. I'll let y'all know if there's any funny business at time of delivery.

Yeah. It's enough to make me not want to import certain items anymore. P-Bandai US items are no longer viable for me to import from somewhere like Hobby Genki, it's cheaper to just order from P-Bandai US when previously, I'd save like $10 and get my shit a month earlier than the US folks.

Wasn't able to preorder her on 1st wave at P-Bandai store but thankfully, they issued a 2nd wave and managed to order her within 10 secs before she sold out again

I wish P-Bandai to just let preorders open for a period of time for products then make a set of numbers for said product based on how many orders they received, that way no more scalpers or bots buying all the preorder stocks leaving non for collectors then selling them at mark up

PSA, there is a tool to extract the head of Lacus compass version included but since I don't read instructions, I only knew about it just now after watching reviews(I'm the type who postpones watching reviews till I get my copy), just used my hands carefully to swap them but do remove 1st everything you can like the ponytail, faces, bangs, wings, floating chest thingy, etc so you have more room to work with and don't use the hairpins as leverage, it will break as seen on a vid I posted a few threads ago and it is even mentioned in the instructions

Yeah, its pretty expensive on Amazon, srp is way more cheaper by around $40 USD if you are fast enough to get one along with bots and scalpers hoarding all the stocks, I wish the next Lacus SHF incase they do release one is not a P-Bandai exclusive but that won't happen as Bandai wants to cut the middle man fees and get all the income to themselves, Mercari JP is flooded with Lacus pilot suits atm with markup

I was tempted by the Figma Nobara just for the skirt, but a month ago I finally went with the S.H.Figuarts one. AliExpress is a pain with the tariffs, but I managed to get her there with a cloth skirt mod. Didn’t even bother posing her with the plastic one, swapped it right away when she arrived.

I’ll be seeing if I can make some silicone molds of Yuji’s faceplates to get more expressions because I would love to have some goofy expressions. Char is in my city now but probably won't get delivered tomorrow since it's Sunday, but that's cool. I did get Yami Yugi and Goku in from Amazon.jp. My tracking hadn't updated since it cleared customs in LAX on Thursday but I got a surprise Amazon delivery with them this evening. No tariffs or duties or fees. The package was just dropped off on my door like normal. So, looks like importing from Amazon.jp is still viable since they'll seemingly eat the fees for you. Unless they've increased shipping prices since I ordered those figs. ECMS got me my stuff in five days so that was cool. Seems like importing isn't dead after all.

I don't recall Wingman ever having a Figuarts before unless you're referring to the Manga Realization figure which I don't know if that counts. Either way Wingman was a property that to Bandai was a stars align moment. It's a Shounen Jump property meaning Bandai is obligated to make a figure out of it since they've been focused on Shounen Jump IPs and because the plot basically revolves around a Tokusatsu fan and it getting a Tokusatsu adaptation, Bandai pulled all the stop and gave Wingman the SS treatment rather than making it a normal Figuarts like the other Shounen Jump figures.
Seems to be doing well though despite WIngman being an old and obscure SJ title no one has heard of like Kinnukuman. Wingman got 2 preorder waves and they announced his upgraded Guardian Silhouette form and now his Delta End clones which is what's teased right now.

Got mine in last nigh. No QC issues for me. Looks fine. His coat is a little finicky in that it can pop out kind of easily from the collar. The collar is a separate piece that plus onto the back of Yugi and then the coat attaches to another peg so it can move around. However it can be kind of tough to get it back assembled if you pop it off. It's not awful but it was a little more annoying than expected. Duel Disk works well enough, the puzzle is good, faces are all fine. Parts swap out without issue. I'm happy with it. It's definitely an upgrade from the figma that I already have.

Here he is nest to the figma. He's an upgrade in and of itself that he can wear his cape/coat without needing a stand. The figma definitely has a much softer sculpt and detailing in comparison but it's to be expected, it's from what 2018? I can't even remember.

Here's Yugi with Dark Magician. They look great together. Really kicking myself for skipping figma Dark Magician Girl but I'm hoping Bandai will do her right. I'd like to have her but she isn't necessary for my display. Now I just need Bandai to give us a Kaiba to go with BEWD and I'll be happy.

Anyone have the original Mario figuarts? The re-releases coming out next year have peakd my interest. They look pretty good other than Bowser who is a turbo manlet, but the fact that they are over a decade old toys kinda puts me off because other figuarts from that time kind of suck. (mostly Dragonball 1.0s is my experience)

The line's articulation during their initial release wasn't anything mindblowing at the time so don't expect anything that will wow you with the reissues unless Bandai stealth updates them but I feel they would release and market it as a new version instead. They are ok but I don't like how Mario is in a perpetual smiling open mouth face, they could have released a version with a neutral face similar to Luigi and I would have bought it too

Yuta is deffinetly share the work of the guy who did teen Gojo and Geto last year. They are great figures. Yuji partly look close to them too, hips same as new Goku ones tho. Doesn't look like og JJK main guy was replaced, he just improved his experience over the years. Both new versions are superior to previous one.
Dandadan character designs look shit overall. Some artstyles doesn't work as well as other good shonens in terms of figures. It's not that figma or revoltech can make any different. Even if JJK and DDD share the same sculptor, I can't believe he made DDD worse than Gojo and Geto, who are a whole year older than the DDD guys for no reason.
