Please keep in mind that imports are going to be more expensive this year so please keep them to a minimum or look for alternatives on amazon, use BigBadToyStore, or better yet shop locally if you can. Actual shipping within the US should be unaffected.

I'm someone who would bake goods for my assignment, so don't forget to add if you are a PASS on that or have allergies (like my assignment last year couldn't into chocolate - which took out like 80% of my baking repertoire).

Also, while I know it's not toys, I'm also a person who would do a 'stocking stuffer' and say you like The Teen Titans, would include TT Go! socks or even a tee-shirt - so if you would be open to something like that (Hulk wallets? Sponge Bob ties? Pokemon coffee cups?), add it to that 'other interest' section, if that's acceptable to the rules?

Yes just don't use too many. I've seen people do this in the past and link a ton of pictures. Try to keep it to around 3 to show off your collection so your assignment isn't shuffling through a bunch of pics just to make sure they don't send you a duplicate.

Yep, I found an actual Japanese hobby store in the warehouse district, and even found some new toy stores I never knew about in the nose bleed parts of my county.

How are people outside the US who're matched with American anons affected, if at all? I don't want anyone to have to pay more for customs

People from the US pretty much always sign up domestic. If we get people who ship from mexico and canada though they usually ship to the US but this year international might be their only option. We'll see who signs up and go from there. For everyone else outside of that, they always ship with themselves anyway so that shouldn't change.

Mainly because it depends entirely on who signs up. 4chan is mostly US based at the end of the day. If you aren't in the US and want to ship domestic, depending on where you're from, you're not likely to get someone from the same country. UK anons get a better chance as there are usually at least 3-4 people every year but for everyone else not so much.

Websites like 5ktoys, ShowZ, Gundamit, and Chowbrick use bulk shipping to HEAVILY reduce tariff fees. We're talking like $4 vs $100. I've had multiple orders since the whole debacle began and had zero problems. Good option if looking for stuff for people.

Logged back in and hit SUBMIT a second time, and finally got the screen that I would get a confirmation email - but no email yet - hopefully, it took. It's my second time and I do remember getting the confirmation email last year.

Ah yes. It will be interesting to see how this pans out this year. From what I've heard, lots of anons left /toy/ when 4chan went under for that little bit. Not sure how many returned... although I doubt that anons participating in secret santa were casuals.
