Shitflinging aside i do think it’s the best figure of the year, i was undecided between this and the kamione Gogetas but this one reminded me how much i loved the kong Broly

Not sure how I feel about it. It looks great and can hit some really nice poses, but the articulation is fiddly to me. The shoulders and waist especially. Not sure if it's just the fact I'm not used to the new scheme or what, but I think I need to play around with it a bit more before I make a final call. I will say I think my wind swept hair head is fucked up or something. I can't get any of the face plates to seat into it properly. And then when I peg it onto the body it's extra tight, to the point it pulls out the whole neck joint and I had to fanangle it out. I just gave up on even trying to get the faces to fit that hair piece. Anyone having issues too?

After getting the new Goku I think I get why they pegged the neck into the hair the new way. He has the neck height adjustment thing so if they head went in vertically like the old figures it would've really annoying to work with. Like you want to make his neck longer so you pull it up then his head just comes off completely. Then when you push the head back on his neck would be short again. With how they did it his head won't come off easily unless you intend to by pulling horizontally. Not sure if this was already obvious but I never saw anyone mention it.

As someone who likes the freedom to pose, I can't find much fault. Room for improvement? Sure.
I get that some people don't like having more joints requiring more nuance and care when posing, but having that option is a boon to me.
I also understand that some people are miffed that the neck joint changed so they can't put their 2.0 heads on there. I guess I'm biased there, because I don't have a single 2.0 head I'd want to put on there since I don't think any of them are all that good, and those that are won't fit, like LBS - it doesn't fit the frame nor skin color afaik.
The only bit of critique I would have is probably the knees. I get that the knees are 2.0 and 1.0 levels of range, and they look way better than any other SHF DBZ knee style so far. But having said that, range wise, we are used to the Super Hero Gohan ones now, which do get a better bend (albeit with gaps). I think they could push that shin joint to get backwards range much like they do their Demon Slayer figures, and then that could compensate and add an overall similar amount of total knee bend.
And also the upwards foot range is very minimal.
I think that's about all I would say could be improved? And maybe lengthening/extending the mid-torso piece for people who complain about gapping (even though I know you can use the current one to hide those gaps just fine as is).
I see people murmuring and complaining about the new neck peg, but it's undoubtedly the most range we've gotten for a head so far. The upward range for any other Goku figure I know and have handled is laughably minimal by comparison.
As it stands, the 35 or so for this figure and Kind-Hearted is insane, and it feels almost a steal going by contemporary standards and pricing. Having said that, I know they plan to reuse the general body plan a lot of times, probably for a few more pricy releases as well, so I know that won't last. For now, though, it applies.

I expect the Vegeta to function like a slightly bulkier Daima adult Vegeta. Which is to say that if people complained about gaps for Games Begin Goku, then Vegeta's gonna be a meltdown. I know people suck off Daima Vegeta right now since they expected the release to be shit and the actual figure was not at all shit, but they are expecting this new Z Vegeta to be amazing, and they will get a figure that has insane range (like its Daima basis), but with gaps that likely can't be covered up unlike with the Games Begin Goku.

I don't think Bandai has a choice in it either way. Their Daima push was longer than what we saw with Superhero, but I imagine there is some contractual thing that requires they release X amount of product from the newest series/movie. Similar to Hasbro pumping out product for the Acolyte, I suspect Disney mandated they focus on it to some extent when no one wanted figures from that series in the first place.

Not like any of that matters for me as I would 100% buy adult Daima SS4 if or when they make one.

And right now even the old final form Frieza was done better than Imperfect Cell who was done infinitely better than Perfect Cell, so I'd rather have a good Cell than the 6th amazing Frieza figure within the last 3 years, along with Frieza's entire family and 2 forms of Cooler. On that note I'd also take a 4th form Cooler over a new Final Form Frieza. Or all 3 would work.

Am I the only one that thinks this Vegeta looks kinda bad? I know the Goku has been controversial with some people loving it, some hating it, but with Vegeta it seemed to be 100% glazing. But like this still doesn't look that great? I feel like there are some instances how the 2.0 back from 2016 actually looks better(not that the figure is better, I got rid of that one a while ago too lol). Whereas with 1.0 --> 2.0 it was improvements basically all across the board.

I feel like the $35 price point is basically them putting these extremely slop releases these days, but everyone buys them anyway because they are cheap and will make excuses because "oh it's only $35." Idk. I can see them having a "Super Vegeta" within the next year that just looks way better, but is an actual full priced release. Think I'd rathre have that one. Kind of humorous that the only "SS" Vegeta I have and have bothered keeping as deep into the line as I am is the Majin one that was saved by Tonsens headsculpt lol.

It does look off, but I don't think it looks entirely bad. From the previews it's somewhere in-between the overly soft sculpt of Full Power and the more period accurate Games Begin Goku. At least it seems more accurate than Full Power Goku.
