That surprises me to hear, the only vpet i have is a 2024 Connection, and it honestly felt super easy to perfectly raise a Tamagotchi. (admittedly i had to pause it one or two times because of work days.) What about the Paradise makes it even easier?

can we talk about digimon here? I've been collecting digivices again. I have 3 D3's and 2 of the season 1 digivices so far!

This is one of my favorite fake tamas in LONG time. It also costed me like 20$.
Its much deeper than it needs to be but it's also what makes it fun.
You kid needs to go to school daily so it can learn and it takes MONTH for kid to grow up.

Yes! Of course. I will add Digivices to the subject in the next thread so it is more clear. The intention for these threads is for all v-pet discussion, I just use tama because it seems to be the most popular vpet currently.

I feel you anon. I was so disillusioned with tamagotchi after the tamago until the gudetama tamagotchi and really the uni. I will forever despise lovelitchi and her abhorrent spawn.

I have all the Digimon 25th anniversary so I can unlock any Mon. Some tamagotchis and Digimon X. I wish I’d got another X but oh well. Having the full set of 25th anniversary is nice because I don’t need anyone else to unlock them.

You can spend $26 and build your own ACOM for the same functionality. I have built two over the years. It's piss easy, takes all of 20 minutes to assemble and program, and provides you the functionality of having any other vpet to connect with. They're kind of essential nowadays imo for anyone with a Digimon vpet. Also you can use it to play W0rld which is cool.

A few things, but mostly how quickly your tama's mood and food bars drain. On the Paradise, it can take hours for them to be completely depleted depending on their stage in life. There's been times where I've forgotten my Paradise at home before I go to work, and I come back and he's only at 1/6 on the food levels.
Overall it seems the device is made to be more of a "there when you want it" kind of thing, as opposed to demanding your attention or face Total Tama Death. Of course, tamas on the Paradise can still die. It just takes a long time and you have many chances to correct it before it actually does die.
