Anyone know of stuff to do in Buenos Aires? I'm going to be there for about a month from mid-April to mid-May and most of that time will be free time.
Things I like: fishing, butterflies, tits, food.
>>2771747 (OP)Buenos Aires resident here
It has gotten expensive as fuck, we’re currently second in the Big Mac index, expect European prices
I assume you’re gonna be in the capital
The northern part is the most touristy and prettiest part, La boca is the most traditional district, Puerto Madero is the most modern
Palermo/Recoleta have a big nightlife scene
Further down south, it gets shittier but around Caballito/Almagro you’re gonna find a lot cheaper restaurants with “local” prices
You should also visit Tigre, there’s a tourist train that takes you there and do a boat tour through the Delta
Tbh Buenos Aires is the most boring part of Argentina, if you ever get around to it you should go to Patagonia, Jujuy or Misiones
>>2771768>I assume you’re gonna be in the capitalI'll be hanging around the main hospital district wherever that is.
>Tbh Buenos Aires is the most boring part of Argentina, if you ever get around to it you should go to Patagonia, Jujuy or MisionesThanks, I do plan on traveling if possible. It kind of depends on how fast things get resolved with work. Are there fishing charters in Tigre? It would be nice to get out on the ocean and catch a few fish to fry for lunch.
>Palermo/Recoleta have a big nightlife sceneThe AirBNBs I've been looking at are in Palermo. Are there any good strip clubs in the area? Not into hookers but I do love playing with boobs.
>>2771775>I'll be hanging around the main hospital district wherever that is.I'm guessing you're talking about Recoleta
>Are there fishing charters in Tigre?Yes. It's freshwater though, not ocean
>Are there any good strip clubs in the area? Not a lot. Near Av. Juan Bautista Justo there are several, brothels are more common though Palermo/Recoleta is pretty much the closest thing to a redlight distric here
>>2771768Sucks I missed the chance to visit Argentina when it was dirt cheap back in 2023.
>>2771868Why do you think it isn't dirt-cheap now?
I'm looking on AirBNB and can rent places for $35/night.
>>2771747 (OP)that is one tight jersey
>>2772043>Why do you think it isn't dirt-cheap now?Because it isn't? Airbnb is still reasonable but most other things are the same or higher prices than US/EU now
>>2772070That's always how it is in countries with crappy economies. First-world luxuries are taxed so heavily that you end up paying much more for them than you would in a first world country. What's cheap is subsistence-tier food, and also pussy because there are so many hookers that the competition drives prices down.
>>2772106Tienes razón señor
>>2771775>Not into hookers but I do love playing with boobs. If you like butts, Argentina women reputedly love anal.
>>2772043>$1000+ per travel month for accomodation alone>"it's still dirt cheap!"Inflation has utterly wrecked the average Westerner's perception of value for cost.
>>2772106>there are so many hookers that the competition drives prices downYou would think, but the best ones are now asking the same or more than similar looking girls in Europe. Pretty sure you can actually find better deals in Greece and Spain these days. Service is still unbeatable here compared to Europe though
>>2772121Honestly not at all into that any more. It's smelly and messy, and any chick who is "into" it is going to be so stretched out that it's not any tighter than a properly-exercised pussy.
Back when I was just getting old enough to have sex, anal was considered kinky and taboo and perverted, which made it interesting, but nowadays they're teaching "how to have safe anal sex with your multiple gay partners" to first graders anyway.
Give me a nice big pair of DD-size tits and I can play with them for hours.
I saw something about people taking day trips to Brazil; what's there to do that's different, in particular at near whatever the popular border crossing is?
>>2773210From Buenos Aires? Never seen it. Only business travellers from Argentina. People from Argentina come to Brazil usually for the beaches. But not as daytrips. If in Puerto Iguazu they cross to Foz do Iguaçu as daytrip. But that's all. Those in Foz do Iguaçu do the same obviously. Makes no sense only going to one side of the falls.
>>2773210Mostly shopping
A lot of people make holidays in Brazil and tie in a day trip to Paraguay, to buy cheap electronics, clothes or car parts
>>2773269Stuff is cheaper in Brazil than in Argentina?!
>>2773467At the moment, yes
Argentine peso is crazy overvalued and the Brazilian real is getting devalued, situation will probably change soon again
>>2771768Is it possible to fly in to Argentina and instantly get a residence card if I rent an apartment? I would love to get an Argie passport someday. Also, Patagonia and Tierra del Fuego fascinates me.
>>2773547You need more than just "I rented an apartment". There are a lot of ways, though. I'm thinking about getting another college degree because why not, get to ogle hot college girls all day and maybe grope some tetas grandes.
>>2773547No.
>>2773855There are very few ways, college is pretty much the only realistic one besides marriage and having a kid. But you need to speak fluent Spanish to get into a college. And processing residency permit takes like 6-10 months.
>>2773957College instruction is in Spanish? How weird.
>There are very few ways, college is pretty much the only realistic one besides marriage and having a kid.Oh come on, there are at least half a dozen different ways: residency by investment ("inversionista"), retirement, "digital nomad", having independent means of support ("rentista"), marriage, student. Those are just the ones I guessed at offhand and then checked. There may be more.
>>2773547>if I rent an apartment?Aren't most Argentine landlords so insane that they won't rent you an apartment if you don't already own an apartment in Buenos Aires as collateral?
>>2774145kek, seriously? how the fuck can this work?
>>2774157Argentina is a fucking shithole. Don't fool yourself.
They want a months deposit usually plus a second month commission. Depending in the city, they'll want salary slips and a guarantor to sign so they can have collateral if you leave before the lease ends. CABA landlords rent to tourists no issue though just use Facebook and try not to get scammed or ask around in immoblarias.
Leases all have quarterly inflation adjustments now as well, which allowed Milei to isolate himself from criticism since nobody calls out the bullshit inflation numbers since their rents would skyrocket 30% quarterly instead of 8% like Q1.
I prefer to go to Chile Puerto Rico Colombia or Uruguay i find Argentinians too annoying
>>2774034>College instruction is in Spanish? How weird.Instruction in a Spanish speaking country is in Spanish, how is this weird?
>residency by investment ("inversionista"), Does not exist in practice. According to the law, your investment must be approved by a ministry that was abolished long ago. It never worked in practice, just on paper.
>retirement,Maybe if you're from USA or Switzerland where your pension is like $1000+
>"digital nomad"This one exists, but it is not equal to other residency types, and does not count toward citizenship. Basically it's useless because it's cheaper to pay $40 fine for overstaying that waste months and tons of paper getting the nomad visa.
>having independent means of support ("rentista")Good luck waiting 1 year+ for approval on this one. Also you need to have real estate abroad that gives you more than $1500 per month in rent, so also few people will qualify.
>marriageI mentioned that
>studentThat's the same as college
>>2774176Still nowhere near as bad as in Europe where for every available apartment there'll be a line of 50 people who want to rent it and you have to write an essay about yourself for the landlord why they should choose you.
Garantía is basically an insurance that will pay for you in case you stop paying for the rent. Like Europe, Argentina has some laws that make it hard to evict tenants. So if you don't have a full time job in an Argentine company, you'll have to pay an insurance company for "Garantía", which will cost ~2 months worth of rent. Some landlords will waive that if you offer them to pay 6 months up front, so there's some room for negotiation.
There's also "alquiler temporal', it's basically 3/6 month rental contracts that don't require garantía. But it's more expensive, and recently there are fewer of them, and mostly in Buenos Aires. Most foreigners rent temporal or even airbnb because it's simpler and the apartments are furnished (long term rentals are usually with no furniture)
>>2774176>CABA landlordsWhat's a "CABA"? I tried looking it up and get stuff about bar associations and evictions.
>>2774759Ciudad Autonoma de Buenos Aires. It is the official name of the capital city. Around CABA there are a lot of suburbs that are technically other cities, which belong to the Province of Buenos Aires
>>2772168>Pretty sure you can actually find better deals in Greece and Spain these daysWhere do you find them in Spain and how much do you pay?
>[Any major non-US city] is so expensive, get ready to pay big bucks for everything!
>Check prices
>Nice hotel $95/night
>Nice restaurant $40/person
>Nice coke $30/gram
Earning in American dollars is truly goated
Look, as a hoser living here for the past month. If you aren't a consoomer pamperered faggot, it is unreal levels of cheap. Anyone who says otherwise (locals excluded) is a spiritual homosexual that is too afraid to leave palermo (shithole). Branch out and meet some locals. If you are solely looking for MUH 20 CENTS PER NIGHTS RENT, fuck off. It is still so insanely cheap, even as a non digital nomad. I paid 6 bucks for a bottle of incredible malbec and pack of smokes about 20 minutes ago. I feel for locals, but as a (likely) yank, you will have a fucking blast here with prices. Ignore the "PARIS OF SOUTH AMERICA" propaghanda bullshit, I fucking hate Parisians, almost more than Indians, and I have nothing but beautiful things to say about Argies. What a treasure and blessing it is to be amongst these people. Give me a shout if you want to grab a drink or something to eat while you're here, mate. Hope you have an absolute blast and enjoy your time in a country where the sun shines so brightly, they put it on the flag, smiling upon everyone daily. People can try to dispute this, but as I said, spiritual homosexuals who think 80k USD a year is poverty tier are the only foreigners you hear whinge about it, and they clearly never cared about Argentina to begin with.
price breakdown:
KG of ribeye: 9000 pesos (9 bucks CAD)
bottle of 750ml (26oz) fernet: 12000 pesos (12 bucks)
good bottle of wine: 2000-4500 pesos
average breakfast bite to eat at a local joint: 3000-5000 pesos depending
redditniggers and other cunts dilute the price ranges of shit here to an unreal degree, because these cunts cannot cook their own meals and get some veneko to rappi them mcdonalds 3 times a day. Tienen un pais re piola, es un bendicion para mi, cada dia. Me encanta todos, y deseo este vibra para todos :) If you have any form of savings or especially if you make USD/CAD/EUR while being here, and you complain about prices, consider suicide immediately. Poster above says $40 USD per meal LMAO

I think the usual rates are between 100 - 150 euros/hour, which is less than some of the delusional Argie girls are asking these days
>>2776438I was there about 4 months ago. I found everything pretty reasonable except for restaurants. Maybe I was going to the wrong places, but the prices I saw were on par with the US or EU, which seemed really out of place compared to everything else in BA
>>2776476Lolwhat. A prostitute in Argentina costs like 20-50 dollars max.
>>2776554>Lolwhat. A prostitute in Argentina costs like 20-50 dollars max.In 2023, sure
Wow, my thread is still alive despite the downtime.
>>2776438Brother, you’re making me want to return to Argentina. I’ve never felt happier than I did in that beautiful country full of beautiful people. Was like a dream everyday.
>>2778401mate Buenos Aires is fkn awesome! I've been there twice and cant wait to go back again. Awesome clubs, awesome food, awesome bitches. Although Argies sluts will talk to you for 2 hours and then just leave you hanging. But there are plenty of Brazilians there as well who'll let you slip in a finger or two.
If you're not utterly poor then go to the top steak places like Don Julio or La Cabrera. It's well worth it. Along with fried provoloneta, chimichurri and malbec, it will be the best meal you'll ever have. Then you can get some cheap coke (i think it's called paco) from a cabbie, head to whore bars to pick up a nice young Argie who you can then take to the actual club to pick up other girls.
yep...thats it! planning my next trip already.
>>2776438>afraid to leave palermo (shithole).Just wondering, why do you think Palermo is a shithole? My friend who went last month stayed there, and said it was the nice part of town.
>>2778422>argie sluts leave you hanging Got that impression as well. In some ways, they reminded me of NYC girls. It's such a huge city, there is a feeling of, "Whatever, I can just meet someone else tomorrow." I started feeling the same as well after a few months.
>>2772066Isn't it beautifully done?
>>2778459Like any tourist-trap LatAm neighborhood, you have the pretentious redditfags speaking English or German or whatever to each other, inflated prices for lodging and dining, plus the sketchy street characters eyeing up the tourists like slaughterhouse buyers eyeing up cattle at a feedlot. Go elsewhere and you pay local prices to be treated like any ordinary local. A much better experience.
Anyone used the "Bitcoin teller" at the "Bitbase store" near the waterfront? What are the exchange limits and how are the fees?
There are about ten Athena BTMs but they apparently only allow $20 of BTC to be sold at a time (maybe even per day). I'm wondering if this "teller" location has a real live human and if so how much I can sell. Need to pay for my vacation.
>>2780571This guy get it. Palermo (with all its gay names like Hollywood or Soho), it a pretentious as fuck place that is only ok if you stay a week or so, or just want to visit retarded posh clubs.
Recoleta is the same shit. Go a bit further, look places in Villa Crespo, Villa Devoto, Caballito, Belgrano, etc. Or better, just stay a few days in the city. Argentina is a HUGE country with plenty of climates and terrains. Dont just stay in this God-forsaken city.
Hi latina slut seekers, i'm debating on getting the work holiday visa for Argentina, its either going to be Canada or Argentina. what are the pros and cons of each country?
so far i have :
argentina : nice beaches,
nice weather all year around. I'm from europe so the winters are always cold and dark, and i'm tired of that. But argentina seems like a dangerous place for white people outside of the main capital.
pros of canada is english, i don't speak spanish and i'm to lazy to learn. But canada has loads of indians and i don't like that since i'm racist.
Tell me the upside of argentina, pls guys.
I'd move to Argentina, but the economy is so fucking crazy. I feel like I would rich there today, but priced-out in a decade if they hit an upswing
>>2780932>t. REAL /trv/eler
>>2780800I exchange crypto in the unofficial exchange bureaus, the same ones that change cash USD, most of them accept USDT too. One place I frequently use is @cambiodolaresflorida (instagram), there are also Russian exchanges in Telegram with good rates.
>>2776635Have the prices really increased by that much?
>>2781375Yes, it's there, number 753 actually. They have whatsapp on this number where you can check the rates.
>>2781099Nah, just a retarded argie that is tired of all the super retarded "digital nomads" and hipsters infesting Palermo.
>>2781553Don't worry, bro. Buenos Aires is an overpriced shithole at the moment. Nomads aren't staying long-term. We'll be back when the cost of living dumps again
>>2781385Many thanks! Dude, I am soooo there!
>>2771747 (OP)me jelly
if i was there i'd fuck a different escort every night
>>2771747 (OP)>FoodAs someone else pointed out, it's expensive now, so I'd recommend you to go further away from the river to more traditional places you might find in google maps. quality is about the same but don't go beyond caballito/almagro. I'd recommend San Antonio in Boedo. It's probably the best pizzeria in Buenos Aires, however if you're not used to lots of cheese dont go. Ask for the fugazzetta with lots of cheese, forgot its name. But it's great
Your best bet is just walking around Palermo and Recoleta and chilling. Check the Hipodromo of Palermo if you want to gamble in horse races. It's really fun and one of the few traditional places not overrun with Bolivians.
>>2771775>strip clubscocodrilo. expect to see turros (niggers) tho. it's the sleaziest non sketchy bar out there
>>2773210Second that. Brazil is much cheaper than Argentina due to their ongoing dictatorship. So go there if you want that BA 2023 experience.
>>2776438I wish I liked this country as much as you, I'm probably gonna move to Italy since i have the nationality. Honestly it's full of brown people and the european culture is lost. Now it's all classless street "trap" culture. People dress like shit, everthing is ugly. I honestly lost hope. Even if you segregate in "tincho" circles like I did most of my life, you will still feel alienated if you have some sense of class and artistic interest. I travelled to northern Italy and made tons of friends, I fit there much more. Even America. But whatever, I'm glad you enjoy it unlike me.
>>2778460Definitely. But they're very easy. I can get sex whenever I want, whereas if I go somewhere else it's harder. Most women here have a shitty slut past though, so beware. But if you go to the interior most women are better, and many northern european phenotype.
While we're at it, i'll give you a nightlife guide based on my experience - im 20 years old so im biased:
>Bali (costanera)
18-25 year old women, "cachengue" (latin music), but more upper class. It's a pretty good place
>Jet (costanera)
21-35 year old women. Best one on the list but expensive. Hottest chicks but more of a table dickmeasuring enviornment.
>Kika (palermo)
Very versatile age range. Cheap and full of international people somehow. It's not as bad as people say. It's sleazy but not overrun with "turros", but rather 45 year old office workers spending their salary there booking tables in their VIP section. While we're at it, let me tell you this, you're gonna want the turros like the plague. It's a culture of brown skinned people that dress like trappers and just rob, are very hostile, territorial, and obnoxious. They're our hood people, but manlets. I could obviously beat them up but they're all in packs and sometimes armed so you just avoid them. Then you got "tinchos" who are just upper class kids that will not really do anything unless you provoke them, but they will mog you physically more often than not. If I was a clueless tourist I'd go to Kika unironically once. It's also "cachengue" depending on the day, but not as "tech houseish" as the other venues. Slightly more "turro", but not to the point where it's RKT (nigger music)
>Moscu (costanera)
Literal children go there, so don't go. If you do go, go on saturdays where it's more decent, fridays it's all underage people.
>Crobar (Palermo)
Best venue for techno music / raves. Very cheap.
Download Bombo to be into the BA techno scene. There's always great DJs there and in other places
>Cruza Polo (palermo)
Great for just talking. It starts off very early (After Polo), and then it turns itself into a club. Music isn't that loud and people there go expected to just talk to everyone. Hard to explain but the atmosphere is pretty nice. it's also in front of the casino.
>>2782264>>2782266How easy is it for a 5'7 (can fraud with my boosts) white male to get with locals? I speak decent spanish. I'll resort to pros if I have to.
>>2782266This Moscu place sounds interesting.
How young we talking about? Unless you're talking literal unattended 12 year-olds we golden, the AOC in Argentina is 15 and we like 'em young here.
How hard is it to obtain genuine, unadulterated psilocybin mushrooms in Buenos Aires? Not ones that are mixed with other drugs?
From what I understand, they're "legal" in Brazil (basically a legal loophole, the law criminalizes the purified substance but not naturally-grown mushrooms) so I could go over there to get them, but I'd rather stay in Argentina.
I heard there were elections over the weekend in Argentina. How did Milei's party do?
>>2782349>I speak decent spanish. I'll resort to pros if I have to.There are literal brothels all over the place in Argentina.
>>2784901Any recommendations or tips?
Visited ISG but BA threads are dead.
I was just looking in the AirBNB thread and saw that BA has no room taxes on AirBNB rentals. Does anyone know some good direct contact emails for AirBNB hosts in BA, preferably around Palermo? I'd kind of like a place with a kitchen rather than having to deal with restaurants all the time for basic breakfasts and sandwiches.
>>2785413You can message the host on Airbnb without booking, if you want to stay long they are often open to renting directly without airbnb.
>>2785421Perfect. I'd rather the money go directly to the host, but more importantly, I have a couple of specific requirements related to plumbing (I really REALLY need one of those showerheads-on-a-hose and good water pressure).
>50km wide endless 1 story homes
have they ever thought about building upwards?
>>2786392Why would anyone want to live underneath someone else? Every time I've made the mistake of doing that, I've regretted the fuck out of it. One time I bought a mid-level condo because the upstairs neighbor was actually nice and quiet. Six months later she gets married, moves out, and rents the place to a family of 400lb elephants. I goddamn near went elephant hunting before I dumped the place.
I'm thinking of visiting Buenos Aires in September for Ani-Con. I'm white, but don't speak Spanish (although there's time to learn enough basics to not be a complete embarrassment). I've been to western anime cons before and my main goal is to attend the concert by ALI at the con.
How retarded is this idea?
Has anyone here been to Ani-Con or any other large conventions in Buenos Aires? Are there any Spanish language AR forums/sites for weebs where I can try to find a group to tag along with? I'm assuming that if there's demand for an anime convention in AR then it's not exactly a niche hobby? I'm also in my 30s but, to be blunt, I don't care about hookups and just don't want to be alone at a big event in a foreign country.
As a tourist, can I bring in and fly a quadcopter? Just a little 249 gram CineWhoop. Are the cops going to hassle me and try to confiscate it?
>>2786440isn't it the same when you have literal sheds sharing walls on 2 or even 3 sides?
at least plan the city so you have green areas around tall buildings
>>2788338Depends on the construction. Solid concrete with airgaps is fine, tin shacks not so much.

Do Argentineans just not use handheld showerheads on a hose like pretty much everyone else in the world uses nowadays? See picrelated. I've been digging through AirBNB looking for places that have this most basic amenity imaginable and zero of them do.
I think the last hotel I stayed at that didn't have these in the rooms was some rural trailer-park-court-with-hotel in the middle of fucking nowhere that had been built in the 1970s.
Anyone know if an AirBNB host might be willing to let me get one installed if I'm staying for a month or so?
>>2789620Getting one of these "installed" is 5 minutes of work and does not require any special tools. Maybe some plumbers tape...
If you really care then just buy a shower handle on a hose when you get there and install it. Or bring your home one if you are autistic like that :)
>>2790114>Getting one of these "installed" is 5 minutes of work and does not require any special tools. Thanks, I know, I had to install mine since the place had a fixed showerhead when I moved in, but is the hotel or AirBNB going to be pissed?
Anyone know if I need an outbound ticket to be allowed to board my flight to Argentina? I'm planning on flying Avianca if it matters.
Also, how is Avianca?
>>2790526Yes you do need it. Flying from within South America it's likely they won't check it. If you're flying from Europe or Middle East, all airlines always check it very rigorously. Not sure about North America.
>>2787029Yes you can bring it. There is a no fly zone in Buenos Aires around the airport which includes most of Palermo I think
A few months ago three Russian guys flew a drone on Congress square and accidentally dropped it on the balcony of the Congress. Police had to call special forces to make sure it wasn't a bomb. The guys were detained for a few hours but nothing more.

I'm heading to BA next week and am bringing a chunk of cash for paying for my trip. Do I need to bring US$20 bills or US$100 bills, and are Argentineans fanatical about the bills being absolutely brand-new and crisp and unwrinkled like Asians are?
Try to exchange an older US$100 or a wrinkled one in Thailand or Taiwan, some banks and currency exchanges will outright reject them.
>>2792762You get a better rate on crisp $100s
>>2771747 (OP)If it were me, I would rent an airbnb in Palermo and hangout at hostels when I’m bored. I’d chase women the entire time. I’d do that Tigre river cruise thing. But I would dedicate my time to adding notches.
>>2792787I've been trying to find an AirBNB but I can't find anything that has more than a couple of scattered days available. Like, you can rent the place for Tuesday and Wednesday next week, and then have to leave for two weeks until you can get it for Sunday through Tuesday.
>>2792985>I've been trying to find an AirBNB but I can't find anything that has more than a couple of scattered days availableWhat? Usually the problem here is too many choices available and deciding what I want. Do you have a really low budget or other weird requirements?
>>2793009>Do you have a really low budget or other weird requirements?I've been looking at the lower-priced ones. My budget isn't "low" but I really see no need for a $200/night place especially when I'm planning to stay for weeks to maybe a month, hopefully not longer than that. But even the ones that are in the $80/night range seem to have broken-up bookings where I can't get one for more than a few days.
>>2793009Ok, I
>>2793349 take it back, I tried searching again and found a way to limit it to long-block stays. There are several choices and most of them look decent (one looks like a concrete box though and it isn't even cheap).
Thanks for telling me I was wrong and getting me to figure it out. :-)
How prevalent is rabies in Argentina, and are there a lot of stray dogs around BA that might have it?
>>2793902It is controlled. The main vector is bats. You will not see stray dogs in the city itself, maybe in some shitty neighboorhoods in the periphery, or very deep in the country. So dont worry too much about it.
>>2792762You can never go wrong with bringing crisp new $100 bills of the NEW design. Just go to the bank and ask them specifically for new bills when you withdraw cash. It's easy.
>>2793357You can always try reaching out to a host and asking if they would cancel their other bookings that would break up your stay because you want to stay for an entire month. Not all will agree because it's a hit to their rep score on the app, but some will go for it. So you then book all the time that's not taken, they punt the other guests and modify your reservation to cover the full month.
>>2793902What shitty parts of AR do you intend to visit where this is a concern?
So I'm in Argentina now and the anons talking about how expensive it is are absolutely right. A friend booked the hotel and it's $120/night, which includes a "free breakfast" of a few types of bread and some jam, and Motel 6 quality other than the included food. I just got dinner at a "cheap" Chinese place and it was $20+ for each entree.
It looks like the "Dolar Blue" and official exchange rates have flattened out, 1150 for official vs. 1190 for "blue" rate, so it's barely worth the cab fare to a "cueva" on Florida Street unless you're exchanging a big pile.
Walking around feels odd. Seems like everyone I pass is nervous like they're worrying I'm going to mug them or something. I'm not black, BTW, I'm English/Scottish/Aryan.
>>2781111>One place I frequently use is @cambiodolaresfloridaNice quads. Does this place still exist? I went to the location that was previously posted here and it's an apartment building and the guard at the front desk didn't know about any currency exchange being run inside the building.
There was a different exchange across the street and they couldn't tell me about it either (but language barrier). I checked all the storefronts on the 700 block and none were it, and I went up and down the intersecting street and didn't find it either.
Calling the phone number listed on their Facebook page, no one answers. I still haven't gotten a reply back on WhatsApp but I'm not sure if I used it correctly.
>>2796061It does exist, I was there 10 days ago. It's Correintes 753, inside a shopping arcade (office 60).
>>2795101I don't know why you decided to book an expensive hotel. Expensive old style hotels exist even in cheapest countries like Thailand. In Buenos Aires it's best to book an apartment on Airbnb, for $30 per day you can get a decent new apartment.
>>2776438> because these cunts cannot cook their own meals and get some veneko to rappi them mcdonalds 3 times a day.I did this in Colombia and still came out ahead on monthly spending compared to rent for an unfurnished 1-bedroom apartment in my city.
>>2796075Thanks, I'll give it another shot tomorrow. This was a holiday weekend, I don't know if you guys do three-day holiday weekends or if you expect to have to work Saturdays to make up for a Friday off like in Asia.
>>2796096I had to transit through Colombia because Avianca. I don't know how you put up with Colombians.
>>2796199>if you expect to have to work Saturdays to make up for a Friday offlol, that just sounds absurd in latam
>>2796199>expect to have to work Saturdays to make up for a FridayIt's Latam if they take off Friday they won't be back before next friday if at all.
This is more of a general Latin America question, but do they hate the Castilian Spanish accent coming from someone who learned Spanish as a second language?
>>2796230not at all, use the accent that you have the best practiced pronunciation with. you're foreign so they'll just be happy you can speak to begin with.
Do you guys really travel to a 3rd world country just to get laid?
>>2796199> I don't know how you put up with Colombians. If this an attempt to come across as worldly you probably shouldn’t have mentioned that you are basing it off of a layover.
>>2796218Not even remotely true. LatAm work schedules are typically 8 to 5, 6 days a week.
>>2796230Most people will be impressed if you speak any Spanish at all.
>>2796279Hard times make strong men who voyage into the urban hellscape of South America to make love to Big Booty Latinas.
>>2796308Isn't she supposed to be on all fours under the horse?
>If this an attempt to come across as worldly you probably shouldn’t have mentioned that you are basing it off of a layover. It's not an attempt to sound worldly, it's a "holy fuck how does anyone put up with these idiots" based on their behavior during my flight and transit stop. Like, they had us all go through metal detectors and baggage X-ray again as part of their "customs" crap for even transit passengers, and the two surprisingly black monkeys who were doing it kept mixing my stuff together with someone else's stuff, as in, taking my passport away from me and shoving it into someone else's tray-of-crap, and then taking a hat and pair of sunglasses from that other person's tray-of-crap and putting it into my tray-of-crap for no fucking reason whatsoever. The locals' behavior just getting off the plane was also rude, like the one guy who got up and started shoving his way up and down the aisle so he could grab bags out of multiple overhead compartments. Plus, the airline personnel were rude pricks the entire time. I've never been treated so shittily on any other airline. It was Soviet-era-Aeroflot tier behavior from what I've heard of them back then.
>>2795101>I just got dinner at a "cheap" Chinese place and it was $20+ for each entree.Where the fuck did you go? Thats not a "cheap" chink restaurant.
>>2781111>>2781385>>2796075So, I found the place, they were in the office, and they only take USDT on something called TRC20 which is apparently the Tron chain. No Bitcoin. Kind of incomprehensible to me, because if they're already set up to accept "cripto-USDT" then why not accept Bitcoin or even literally anything at whatever rate they can get? Charge a small fee and they get to make more money. But noooooooo, only USDT-TRC20 on the Tron chain.
Pure luck, a friend found a different place that actually accepts real genuine BTC last night. Getting my transactions set up now to go there tonight and get some local pesos.
>>2781218My friend and I were at a bar the other night and he was offered "a massage" by a reasonably cute chick at US$150/hr. Probably tourist rates, but looks like that's what they're trying to get anyway. If you can sound/look local it's probably way less.
>>2782212Why not find a nice girl and stick with her? I've never understood the "sex with a different hooker every night" mentality. All that gets you is a collection of STDs and an empty wallet.
>>2796595I dunno, some place in Barrio Chino. It was breddy gud.
At a new hotel now. Half the price of the previous one and the only difference is they don't serve any "breakfast". It's just down the street from a shawarma place so that's ok.
I kinda don't want when americans talk about my country same as we talk about asians.
But I wish you are welcome here guys. It's really the best country of the world. Clean air, water, vegetables, no niggers, sand niggers, rice niggers and poo niggers.
Help us making it stay like that, please.
>>2797106 again
Completed my transaction last night at that one that my friend found for me. No problems, they took real Bitcoin, they took a 3% fee, they converted it to cash, now I don't have to go home this weekend because outtacash, everyone's happy. Girl at the shop was extremely helpful and cute. 10/10 would recommend.
Best part was that because of all the delays, BTC/USD was at $107,500. :-)
>>2797205I've been nooooticing all the great produce in the fruit-and-vegetable shops.
>>27973723% is quite a lot, best exchanges take 0.50% fee to convert USDT to cash USD, and converting USDT to peso is recently at the same rate as convertin cash USD to peso.
USDT is by far the most common stable coin, people often use it in everyday transactions here, for example I paid for the cleaning service in USDT, and even the notary fees when I buyed an apartment. It's a bit hard to convert BTC to USDT anonymously if you want to keep it secret though.
>>2797556For me it's not a question of anonymity, it's just a question of being able to do it without access to my U.S.-based exchange (because they insist on doing 2FA and I don't have cellphone roaming).
As far as the 3% fee, IDGAF if it means that I don't have to fly home this weekend.
>>2797595>(because they insist on doing 2FA and I don't have cellphone roaming).Virtually every phone plan you can buy has included Calling/Texting over WiFi for 6-7 years now. Literally all you need to do is connect your phone to a hotspot/hotel wifi and make sure the setting is checked under network options. I've had it since 2018.
>>2782264>cocodriloWent there last night to check it out. $20 per person to enter, then they sent a couple of whores over to sit with us, and they spent the whole night trying to talk us into going to a hotel with them. There was a futbol game on the TV that they kept watching until like 11pm. Then the show finally started.
The show was so-so, very fixed format, they had two pairs of dancers in basically figure-skating costumes for the first act, then a tranny comedian told what my friend said were dick jokes for way too long (all in Spanish so I just sat there bored), then alternating between single-song strip acts (down to panties and bra, only one took her bra off as well) and more tranny comedian until end-of-show (1am). I think there were either 4 or 5 actual strippers, that's all.
After the show, the un-selected hookers went upstairs to a second-floor dance lounge. I didn't check that place out. Maybe they had stripping there, dunno, I got the impression it was just disco dancing and maybe more hookers-trying-to-talk-guys-into-hiring-them.
Oh, girl drinks were 25000 pesos each, and the hookers wanted US$150 for a "one hour massage".
Still hoping to find something more U.S.-strip-joint-ish, where there are a few dozen chicks who dance for 1-2 songs each all evening, and who actually take off all of their clothing. Maybe Brazil?
>>2798464>Still hoping to find something more U.S.-strip-joint-ish, where there are a few dozen chicks who dance for 1-2 songs each all evening, and who actually take off all of their clothing. Maybe Brazil?Almost all strip clubs outside the U.S. are either scams (Europe) or just show rooms for prostitutes (Asia/Latam). Only the U.S. has the low tolerance for scams AND prostitution that makes them a viable business
>>2798643>or just show rooms for prostitutes (Asia/Latam)I'm fine with them being showrooms, but the point of a showroom is to SHOW. All these hookers should have been up on stage shaking their tits and letting everyone see their holes. Instead, they plopped two of them down next to us, fully (if semi-revealingly) dressed, and the hookers wanted to do nothing until in a hotel room.
My first trip to Pattaya, I went into a bar to hang out for a bit, only saw a couple of seats open at one table that already had two guys at it, and figured I'd sit down and they could tell me to leave if they minded. There were girls dancing on top of the tables, short skirts no panties (at least for the one at our table). I was there about five minutes when one of the guys shoved a finger straight up her twat, wiggled it, pulled it out, and sniffed it, then wiped it under his friend's nose. I got ready to run like hell figuring the bouncers were going to attack everyone there. nope.jpg She began dancing even more dirtily, and in another couple of minutes the three of them had negotiated to go somewhere else to fuck.
Even better was on another Pattaya trip during the 2009 economic crisis when the girls were eating each other out live on stage to get guys horny enough to barfine them. Another place had nude oil wrestling in one of those inflatable kiddie pools. It was a fun trip. Sadly, the new king has cracked down on all that, or maybe Thailand has just become rich enough that the girls don't need to do it any more (not to mention OF simps and hoeflation as a factor).
Anyway, I'm fine with that level of filth, but I damn well want to see tits and hopefully the rest too, not watch a really tall dude with bolt-ons tell dick jokes in a language I don't understand while the chicks at most get down to bikini-level skin. I'm not taking any of them to a hotel, so I wanna see it all on stage.
Also, lots of the strippers in the U.S. are prostituting themselves.
Anyone know about this show?
https://www.gorritiart.center/sex
It's some sort of stage performance. They have two additional "levels" of tickets where you apparently get to see more erotic stuff than on the main stage.
is $450 a month for a 1br in Chacarita a good price? Found on Airbnb
