where in England can I go to meet some actual English people and there arent 3 trillion brown people?
im an American looking to visit the homeland, but all the brown people makes me imagine that it sucks.

The strange thing about London and Europe in general is they donโ€™t have bars where you can just sit at the counter, which makes it hard for solo travelers.
There are some but not very many. Most are pubs or lounges.

If you want regions, look at demographic maps. For specific things to do National Trust and similar properties are probably a good call.
>>2773189
Alright, but as he said, you won't receive a warm welcome. Why go to a pub just to make every dislike you?
>>2773214
T-shirt and jeans should be fine for most pubs. Hoodie will be OK as long as the hood is down. If it's a real rural pub you'll stick out no matter what you do. If it's somewhere expensive (well, more expensive) in London, you might be underdressed, but I'd be hesitant to call places like that "pubs".
>>2773188
Not sure about London but everywhere else in England has these. People are generally not very keen to strike up conversations with strangers though.

By the way, on talking about your heritage, that'll be fine talking about your grandma coming over to the USA on the Queen Mary or whatever if it comes up (i.e. "so why did you come to England?"). In my experience, English people like to here those kinds of stories.

outside any city, shropshire is good, shrewsbury is nice. widnes is a nothing-town but it's very white, as are most traditional british pubs.
also north wales, that's literally middle earth. again, avoid cities if possible.

the downside about visiting this country is the weather. You can plan to visit in the middle of summer or middle of winter and chances are you get a wet and windy 8 deg celsius day. that said London is a microclimate you can almost guarantee it will be nice in summer.

also you are on about visiting the homeland, which part? go there. If you want to visit key parts of England. the tourist areas of London are nice but extremely busy.

Liverpool, Newcastle, York are good places to visit spend a couple days. If you rent a car there are loads of places worth a visit. Droitwich Spa they built a church paying homage to the late western Roman Empire churches built in Ravenna. Pretty cool in person but the real stuff is in Italy. Still a nice thing to see.

That sounds like hate speech, which is illegal in the UK but Constitutionally protected in the United States; consider the case studies of Count Dankula versus Kanye West. I agree with your criticisms of Trump and Musk and mass migration but that doesn't have a lot to do with /trv/ unless you're trying to decide what kind of ethnic restaurants to visit on your trip to an American city.

The answer is yes but based on your post I can already tell you that everyone will hate you. People generally like Americans but with a very low toleration for Americans acting like idiots. People will absolutely make fun of you and talk down to you and belittle you. Do not think for one moment you are English because most people here regard Americans as an abomination.

You need to go to the west country, download/buy a map and plot a โ€œhikeโ€, I would recommend the south west coastal path. Eat and stay at pubs along your route. As long as your white and not obnoxious people are always very friendly around here, and you also get to experience true English culture.

Leave the cities but if you aren't prepared to mostly be a drunk in the rural areas its not going to be as enjoyable
This is quite the standard for every country and since you are at least white you don't run as much of a risk of being kicked out of rural bars

Not your homeland, and we prefer brown people to Americans.

But anyway, ask your wife's boyfriend to take you somewhere that's not a big city. Could be a seaside town (Broadstairs if you want a nice one, Blackpool if you like ghetto trash), or a national park like Peak District (our national parks aren't like American ones, there are towns inside as well as just nature and the people are usually friendly).

England is weird. I went there in 2006 and it was rough. Chavs everywhere. Everyone was looking for a fight. Went there again February this year. No chavs. No gangs of rough types loitering around. Lots of brown people, trash in the streets, but weirdly peaceful.

there are a lot of long distance footpaths, wiki has a decent list of them
do you want to do multi day hikes where you sleep under canvas or are you looking for day hikes
if you just want a long walk then buy some orange OS maps and follow the tracks marked green, they even mark pubs in rural areas
if you want multi day things then you have to be careful where you plan to put up your tent each night. in Scotland you can generally put it up wherever you like as long as you are far enough away from buildings, livestock etc. in England and Wales you have far less rights but you can usually find an isolated copse with no buildings around where you will be left alone as long as you're discreet (like don't pitch up for the night until dusk, leave at dawn, no fires etc)
anywhere near a car park will be quite busy on nice days but if you are more than 30 mins walk away it gets quiet again

Actual English person speaking here.
You want to go to the West Country. Wales and Scottish aren't English, the north has lest tourists but is also depressing and boring where the "community spirit" is based on romanticising suffering and a shared victim mentality.
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=PmSA0W3mkn4
The West Country has no major airports and terrible rail links. This means most international explorers don't head that way, OR only go on a tour bus to see Stonehenge and don't leave their containment zone. Devon, Somerset, Dorset, all are charming, and have a reputation for being inbred and isolated- which I think is the type of place you might be looking for. A lot of farmers and quaint villages.
Cornwall is also lovely BUT gets a lot of internal tourism.
The true soul of the UK is in the countryside, the cities have a fairly globohomo personality with differing flavours of "hip" (Bristol) or "trad" (Oxford), the same dynamics can be found everywhere in Europe.

Going to go to the UK for a bit, going to stay use Newcastle and another city as a base out of Glasgow, Edinburgh, Liverpool or Manchester. Manchester would be good for the location but it looks like London 2.0 with blacks and junkies from afar, Edinburgh is expensive and Glasgow would be fine but a bit remote.
