Planning on going to Jamaica later this month. What do I need to know? Looking for hotel recommendations, things to do, etc. Planning on staying in Kingston.

1) don`t go to Kingston, its a shithole and the one place where you have an actual good chance of getting robbed, raped, stabbed etc
2) Negril if you`re a normie between 20-30
3) Montego Bay if you got family/kids
4) any of the RIUs will do

Can anyone who's been given an honest assessment of the safety situation? I would avoid Kingston but don't want to stay in a resort so would prefer to self-drive and stay in maybe two different places on the island. Ideally I picture enjoying uncrowded beaches, waterfalls, and jerk chicken.

How easy are the local women? Do they like white guys?

I've read that psilocybin mushrooms are legal in Jamaica -- but not legal to sell. How hard is it to find them to buy them? Are there any storefronts that sell them, or delivery services that deliver them?

How easy is it to understand Jamaican Patois? I can never understand Jamaican characters on TV, but I also can't tell if that's a real "language" or just something exaggerated for TV.

My very limited experience with one college roommate who was from Jamaica is that they can turn that shit on and off at will. But then, he was an educated dude and was actually Chinese. I have no idea why or how his parents ended up immigrating to Jamaica instead of literally almost anywhere else in the world.

Kingston is a shithole. Everywhere else (besides Spanish town, it’s literally lawless) is better and more fun. Montego Bay has great clubs. Maybe make a day trip to Negril for good food/drugs if you are into that. Jamaicans are either the friendliest people on earth or nasty scunts, there’s no in between.
