It's one of the best countries to visit. It has everything history, nightlife, welcoming locals(unlike many countries), beaches, there is so much to see at every locale.

Athens is lively and the women are insanely hot, but it's kind of a shithole. There are some nice areas in the city, but the bad areas are pretty bad. Traffic is insane. They drive like maniacs. The neighborhoods are covered in graffiti. The crowds at the Acropolis and in Monastiraki Square were insane. I went for 4 days in September last year and had good time, but I'll never go back to Athens. I'd definitely go back and do the coast in Greece. The best thing we did was get out of the city and head down the coast to a little cove where we went cliff diving.

Kek. He's right, Athens is mostly all sprawl hellscape, but it's fun spending a couple of nights in the Psyrri/Plaka/Koukaki. Any more than a few days in Athens and you're squandering your time.

i spent 3 weeks on the west coast (ionian sea, costa navarino) and it was incredible. the locals spoke basically no english but were incredibly friendly. area was beyond beautiful
