Question: is 1 week in each of those cities enough?

Earlier this year I spent 1 full month in NYC and it was far from enough. I like to take things slow and actually get a feel for the city and its culture as queer as it sounds.
I'm not the type of guy to go to 12 cities for 2 days each. I like to get a feel for each city.
If it were to me I'd stay only in Prague and Berlin, maybe Budapest. But I'm tied to Amsterdam due to a summer program

I'm going to Berlin this summer alone. How easy is it to actually make friends/dates through hostels, not just Berlin but Europe in general? I'm 25 if that matters idk if that's old.

Prague has become an even worse tourist trap post covid. You should really go to Budapest instead if you are looking for a party city, or if you're looking for culture Vienna.

Prague was great a few years ago but it's defiantly a "huge lads holiday" destination and FULL of huge asian tourist groups now. It's still relativity cheap to get a hotel room compared to western Europe despite it's popularity and the cheap and medium priced hostels are fun and there's plenty of Aussie sluts on their girls holiday looking to let their hair down and plenty of really pretty Ukrainian girls on tinder. I wouldn't allow too much time for Prague unless you're with a friend or gf or whatever. If you like to party it's easy to get stuff of the africans or dodgy locals on the street. It's a great place to solo travel for a few days.

Berlin is fascinating if you like history, there's plenty of museums about the war and DDR stuff. I used to party but when I was there I didn't much. From what I understand it's mostly gay shit. If you hooked up in berlin staying there for a day or 2 I would commend you. It's a HUGE city, the hostels I found were big and soulless, but that could just be my fault for not researching enough. I found it hard to find a good location to base myself, it's not very walkable just because of it's sheer size so you'll have to enjoy catching the train around. I still really enjoyed it, but I found it more of a place to go with an interested family member or close friend rather than to party by yourself. Maybe I'm getting too old.

What do you do to keep from getting pickpocketed? Should I have one of those chest fanny picks? Do I need one of those anti-scannable wallets?
