I almost exclusively hear negative comments on it from travelers except for hyper normoids that are satisfied with anything that has a beach and some monument to gawp at briefly. I wonder if there are some parts of Egypt worth going to away from the usual tourist trap thoroughfare

Lived there for 9 months, returned for a month for a holiday. It's honestly not that bad. Cba to keep explaining. It's literally "don't be a western faggot" advice.

Haven't been. But friends have and said they enjoyed it. Also Redditors hate it so it's probably good.

>does anyone enjoy their experience in Egypt?
really depends on your expectation

absolutely loved the diving
but that was with my diving club

my sightseeing / history trip was mediocre though
it's really a 3rd world country masquerading as developing country
and you shouldn't expect anything above
also the "hustling" culture can be off putting
especially if you have difficulties saying dominantly "no"

also wouldn't advice any women to go there alone

Egypt has world beating destinations and experiences. You're a serious hardcore faggot if you can't hack it.

I went there for a week to a $$$ watersports resort (legitimate watersports, you perverts) and had a whale of a time. I also took the tour to Giza and literally everything about that day except for the monuments was abominable

Diving is great and there are antique stuff that you cant see anywhere else.
Outside of that, interacting with people or navigating the country is really horrible. Basically mandatory to hire a driver/guide just so you can cut a bit of the bullshit

I made the mistake of watching egypt travel videos before going to egypt. The country was honestly fine. Some parts in Giza are quite dirty but I really enjoyed the country.

I heard the touts were worse than Morocco, which frankly were obnoxious as hell.

Egypt has by far the worst and most aggressive touts of any country. Morocco or India are nothing compared to the harassment you will get there. Having a local guide with you to keep them away is a must.

Morocco is worse. In Egypt you just say no and people will accept it. Near the pyramids you get the worst touts of people trying trying to shake your hand. Just say no and walk away and they let you go. Unlike other parts of Egypt the people near the pyramids may follow you. You have to be stupid to be scammed by anyone in Egypt.

I just ignored the touts in Morocco and they didn't try to follow up. In Egypt they would keep pestering me and following me even when I ignored them and walked away without making eye contact.

you're kiked up. you probaby tick every box on every site to experiencemax, and end up with the most generic pre-packaged experiences known to man.
If you're honestly paying men to stand next to you for a non-military/security purpose, you're a bit gay. How hard is it to click your tongue, say 'la', or 'emshi', and just ignore poorfags of no consequence?

>you don't get travel insurance
nta but is this something people really do on the regular?

the only time I had travel insurance was for an Antarctica cruise
which was like ~15k p.P.
and i did it during covid where you had mandatory tests before and they wouldn't take you if it was positive
and I didn't want to get fucked by a false positive

i can't even imagine the sickness to stop traveling

Millions upon millions of the most subhuman "people" you will ever encounter stacked like cordwood into decaying tan concrete midrises.

The air is so wet and stagnant and hot that breathing feels like drowning.
The scent of rotting meat and sewage permeates the air.
Packs of stray dogs everywhere, on every street at every time of day.

The other anons in this thread aren't exaggerating when they say it makes india look nice.

I stayed with a Doctor, Anesthesiologist, in this apartment in middle of the city. One time he let out a defeated sigh and said "I fucking hate it here."

I'll never forget that.

He fucked (or at least smooched on) the neighbor's wife, and her husband found out. Then he denied it so insistently that he came to believe his own lie. In his mind it never happened.

This is how I know you're lying. I went to both and India is so much fucking worse. People don't understand how much of a shithole India is until they go there. Even Egyptians think India is a shithole.

I actually really liked Egypt. It was so chaotic I had to laugh at times. I remember being in a taxi in Cairo and the driver was just honking his horn along the beats of the music. The 'harassment' is honestly not bad, like others have said you have to be retarded to fall for it ,and to bitch about it. Like what's the worse that can happen? you overpay for touristy garbage. It's a fun once in a lifetime trip.

Reminds me of the Gerudo's Fortress. Anyway, I would only go to Egypt for the pyramids, the sphinx and all the other ancient stuff. Wouldn't waste a second looking at anything modern. How many days are required for that?
