Disney parks were initially founded as a way to celebrate the culture and history of America and provide middle class families with a fun-filled immersive experience. While theme parks are the main focus of these threads (and the title of the general) there is also discussion on other roller coasters & rides, as well as the parks themselves and trip planning too. That's where /rcg/ comes in.

Absolutely! Disney and Universal are currently competing for the Orlando theme park market and beyond! Universal is opening new resorts all around the US and new continents!

It's really great if you go on a day that isn't slammed with guests, but that's true of any park. I think HP will eventually normalize around 50-75min in a year or so. It's much higher capacity than Hagrid's.

Always go with single rider for Hagrid's. If you're an introvert you don't have to sit as close to a stranger as other rides and if you like meeting new people it provides a good opportunity. Single rider usually takes between 20-30 minutes

April 2024 I got in the single rider's line for Hagrid's when the sign said 70 minutes. It took about 80 minutes and was very slow. Has it changed?

Might as well bump my old post because not many people saw it in this thread.

I think the move Universal is going to go with are more coaster-based projects with a dark ride there-and-then.
Mainly because of how successful their coasters are as staple attractions of their parks that IOA, Studios, and Epic will need more to upkeep with the demands for them.
While dark rides in general tend to be higher capacity (in theory) yet don’t really get the attention VelociCoaster and Hagrids do.

Another factor that’s been boasting up the coaster appeal is simply how their own competitors struggle more on offering them and not dark rides. MK (the big one) has five, Hollywood has two, Epcot has one, Animal Kingdom only has one now. But they are currently building more coasters in response to Universal’s reputation of them. So Universal needs to build more in order for them to not be outclassed by the sheer numbers of attractions Disney is trying to build up to.
