What are the most top tier places to visit in Australia
The time of year, how long you're there and your interests are needed for this question. Do you like beaches, deserts, mountains, people... ? Australia is a HUGE country.

If you don't care about dollars:
>Ningaloo reef>Lizard island>Luxury resorts at Port Douglas or Hamilton island>Kimberly heli toursValue for money:
>Jervis Bay>South West Rocks>Narooma>Margaret river (getting there is probably not good value unless already in the region)
Don't bother with cities at all. Australia has some of the most dull cities on the planet. Basically, avoid everything Urban in Australia as much as humanly possible.
I would recommend hiring a 4x4 and hitting up places like Fraser Island, Port Douglas, Daintree, Tarkine, Kosciuszko National Park, Blue mountains.
For "fun/nightlife" search for "Doof" groups on Facebook and try go to as many as you can, the only part of Australian culture that is actually worth experiencing.
Watch channels like 4wd247 and Scotty's Gone walkabout for some good locations.
As someone who is fucking terrified of spiders (maybe even arachnophobia), how likely is to encounter one if I did Sydney + Cairns (to see the Great Barrier Reef) + Uluru + Melbourne?
Call me a pussy, but I might have a panic attack if I see one of those huge ones (yeah, go ahead, post some fucking pictures, so edgy)
>>2794706I went to Ayers rock, Melbourne and Sydney, didn't see any spiders. I was even camping in the outback.
>>2795940That's good to know
Camping in the outback... Shit, I would be terrified
You would have to be fucking mental to be a tourist in Australia outside of the cities. My brother went to Australia with his fiancée and he almost died but he also witnessed her being consumed by a fucking yowie. He is currently in an mental health facility because he has not been able to overcome the trauma for nearly 20 years now.
>>2794706Cairns area is wet tropics so you're pretty likely to see something crawly.
As an Australian, nothing is worth seeing here.
