I'm 28, and will be studying abroad next academic year (Spring 27) and also going to do a Summer internship immediately after until August 20 2027.
I'm currently learning Mandarin, and want to become fluent at the HSK 4 level. I'll have taken 4/5 Mandarin courses by Spring 27.
My major is Global Studies / Political Economy and I'm applying for an M7/T15 JD/MBA program right after. I want to work internationally ideally or in crypto at an exchange.
I have a few options:
>NTU in Taiwan
>NTU Singapore
>NUS Singapore
>CIEE Singapore
I could also study at Tsinghua, Fudan University, Peking University - but I'm not too keen on being in China for so long. My heart also wants to spend a long time in Bangkok, as I loved the 5 weeks I spent in Thailand but this wouldn't be too productive for me professionally.
My current plan is to study in Taiwan, then do an internship in SG to get the best of both worlds (be able to immerse myself in Mandarin, then also develop business relations in Singapore). I also have an existing network of locals in Taiwan that could assist me in networking.
Anyone have any input?
