What a useless reply. There are plenty of places in the world that are poorer than Slovenia and still tourist hotspots.

kind of a broad question...

in general it's great for hiking!

mountain biking is also good
skiing is meh, the largest ski resort Mariborsko Pohorje (also the only one I've been too) is small for the alps and okayish

Ljubljana is a nice city for a long a weekend
the mercury mine and processing plant in Idrija also definitely worth a day trip
Bled also cool for a day or so
Lipica if you like horses
Škocjan Caves worth as well and obviously hiking around the Karst landscape

you also definitely need a car
although bicycle touring is cool too, but lots of elevation, personally only did the Adriatic sea stretch (which is nothing to write about much as the Croatian coast right next door is nicer)

again if you like hiking, Slovenia is really cool

pretty sure they are not
Slovenia is in the upper half of the EU and generally feels very similar to Austria
