In the entire country of Mexico???? What kind of stupid ass question is that???
American propoganda is really a powerful thing. The country is huge, diverse, beautiful with all sorts of stuff. It could stand to be a bit safer, yes, but the whole country isn't a fucking warzone.

Hey faggots, go to [Place] and make a thread TELLING us what kind of trouble you got into instead of lamely asking for recos in [Place] and then ghosting your thread when the trip to [Place] comes around.

I walked into Mexicali after dark with over $1000 in my pockets and was harassed by a very tall tranny street prostitute. There's lots of cheap bars and cheap hotels there. Crime stats say it's much safer than Tijuana, but you can't expect cheap Mex whores to be cute or good-looking.

My last Baja trip was abbreviated. Mexicali - San Felipe - Ensenada - Tecate. Ten days cost me 10,116 MXN or $56 per day. By comparison, roadtripping in America averaged $42 per day on several trips. My visit to Sonora cost 68624 MXN for 89 days, or $41 per day. The America figure is for free camping and daily drives, while the Sonora figure includes a rental room, plenty of beer, and intercity driving only.

Oh wait I see you are asking about Baja. In that case, yeah, everybody is right. Getting mugged, kidnapped, or shot are all likely activities you could enjoy there. Go down to central and south Mexico if you want to lessen the chances of those things.
