Anyone have any experience traveling out west? I’d like to visit in the fall, and want to ride some horses in the mountains. Do you have any suggestions? I’ve been to Colorsdo and Utah in the spring before and love the mountains
>>2795708 (OP)Try the Sawtooth Mountains in Idaho.
>>2795708 (OP)Hey OP,
Wyo resident my entire life here, if you want somewhere amazing to go our west I would recommend
>Wind River RangeJust go into the national forests there, beautiful and very nice locals
>ZionDuh, worth a few days.
>Glacier NATL parkYou'd be missing out. Best park out there
>>2795708 (OP)Check out BC and Alberta. God-tier scenery.
>>2795708 (OP)Wyoming is great, the entire state. Also inf all it'll start to snow by mid/late October
>>2795718Next question how do I move to Wyoming
>>2797391Are you rich or poor? This will determine where in Wyoming you can live.
>>2797379The timing of the first snow is very unpredictable. In 2020 it fell on Labor Day, after a week of record high temps. Wyoming winters are generally very dry. Springtime brings the most blizzards.
>>2797491Housing is scarce out there. Towns can be very bleak. If you don't have a high tolerance for weather extremes and love the big open spaces with a passion, you'll hate living in Wyoming.
I did a winter road trip about 10 years ago to Durango, Ouray and Telluride. It was amazing. We did run into some insane blizzards, but we made it through in a Toyota corolla with no chains. I love it up there. But here's the thing, I did the French Alps 2 years ago and they absolutely shred Colorado. You can fly in Geneva and take a 30 minute bus ride to Chamonix, Annecy and Chambery and you'll end up spending about the same amount of money you would on a road trip through Colorado.
