how’s estonia? Been wanting to go for a while go check it out, maybe even find a different place to live. Getting pretty tired of America

I only saw Tallinn while I was there.
Olde Hansa, the Open Air Museum and A wander around Old Town is beautiful at the right time of year. Would recommend. The people are friendly enough, but the Russians and Latvians there are not so friendly until you get a conversation going. If you know Russian, you can talk to most anyone, but most people can speak English.

I think you'll have a great time checking it out, but living here is not so great. Things that annoy me about Estonia: the weather, we just had our midsummer holiday and it was 14 celsius and raining most of the time. Then the brutal winter + gray season. The people: yes we are all white here, but due to Russians and Estonians both living here it's not a cohesive society. The food: Eating out is expensive, there is no real eating out culture, good food can be had of course, but it's expensive and they gyp you with portion sizes so much. The nature: beautiful forests, but no mountains.

Every place has it's pros and cons, a big pro would be safety for example, street crime has dropped to a very low level. If I was in your position I would look elsewhere, but if you can deal with these cons it's not so bad.

There's nothing wrong with visiting a country as a foreigner, or even working temporarily for a few months before moving on, but all you migrants need to stop feeling entitled to permanent residency in a country that is not yours.

food is awful and tasteless
talinn IS a fun city but not anything extraordinary. if you watch bald and bankrupt he visits some Soviet ruins which have a certain aesthetic
If you are a White man I would maybe recommend Riga - a larger more dynamic and bustling city. Estonia is really the afterthought of the Baltics

Riga Latvia? I’ve heard about it, what makes it better than Tallinn?
Also yes I’m a white male, I was hoping I could find work in Estonia because of how STEM oriented they are. Being an aerospace engineer I thought it wouldn’t be too hard to find a job at a startup or established company.

>what makes it better than Tallinn
it's just a larger city that's laid out in a better fashion, with parks and wide streets. the old city of talinn has these super annoying cobblestone narrow streets that they allow cars to drive over, so you literally cannot sleep at night with windows open because the din is unbelievable. nightlife seems also contained here and not really publicly advertised, most of it is outside of the old city from what I remember.

The architecture in Riga is Baltic German with even a suggestion of Polish-Lithuanian Commonwealth, so it's more grandiose and european-style (compare talinn is swedish/finno-ugric with soviet sprinkled in). The port also sees more traffic. There was also diversity in an interesting way, i.e. intersection of Latvians with a persecuted Russian underclass (who are like Dark Elves living in Windhelm's Grey Quarter) along with some Germans too. Lots of pubs and fun night scene, and on the more touristy side traditional drinks like the Black Balsam.
I spent twice as long in Talinn yet it's Riga that stays in my mind - on one night walk you find so much adventure.

It *is* also more diverse in the sense of indian and black migrant workers & tourists but you'll find those in most european cities really, and a more cosmopolitan city should be easier to fit into.

Latvian women tend to be attractive but slim and patrician - exactly my type. estonian women are more robust, with bigger asses and more admixture from their northern and eastern neighbours. From Riga you also have easy access to Latgalia, beautiful and peaceful cottage country, something like an Eastern European Muskoka but more casual and undeveloped. I am from Canada so I also appreciate Latvia's hockey culture, which isn't as big in Estonia.
Finally, latitude - Riga is further south than Talinn, which means you get a bit more sunlight in winter and vice versa. In Talinn it never got dark in July - 11pm the sun was shining.

Get a hotel in Old Town. Eat at Old Hansa and larp as a medieval peasant. Then when the novelty wears off, move to Swiss Hotel and live like a king at Eastern European prices.
Also go visit the old commie gulag museum to see funny caricatures of Biden in the bathroom stalls. In the summers, the place usually becomes a party area at night.

"White unity" and "white brotherhood" is an Amerimutt fiction, it doesn't exist. You are either from the ethnicity of a given country, speak the language of the country like a native, or you don't. Good luck learning Estonian.

At least the "brown and yellow hordes" cook good food, unlike Americans.
Don't go to Estonia or Latvia thinking you are one of them because you are "white". Both countries are very small with very peculiar cultures and languages, they resent the fact that they were under the leadership of Russians in the Soviet Union, and now feel strongly about their ethnicity, for better or for worse, it's not my problem.
Estonians in particular don't speak an Indo-European language like English or Hindi, but an Uralic language, which bears very little resemblance to any other languages except Finnish and Hungarian to an extent.
As an American, you will always be a foreigner there. This is not your homeland. You won't feel kinship with people because you are "white", and you will be actually brown there because people are pale due to a lack of sun exposure.
In Riga, you might get harassed by white drug dealers who speak fluent Latvian, Russian and English. You might see a white woman who obviously got beaten up by her alcoholic white husband in public transports, black eye and all. I honestly would feel much safer among the yellow hordes than in some Riga's suburbs full of commieblocks.
It's a fine part of the world to visit during summer, but beware that you aren't America there, things function differently than in America, and your heuristics about skin color won't apply there.

Posters like you bitch and moan about how your ethnicity get diluted by immigration, then you want to emigrate to a country where people have strong ethnic ties you do not share, while thinking everyone will give you the red carpet treatment. It doesn't work that way.

I'm in Lithuania right now. It's kinda sterile, but the people seem happy and well-socialized. The schoolboys hang out in big boisterous friend groups instead of moping alone in their bedrooms playing vidya. Of course there are too few moms and too many childless roasties. But there's still a green-eyed baby in a stroller on the train, watching everything with curiosity (a mark of high intelligence, as low IQ babies don't give a shit about their surroundings and only care about getting what they want). Old people give me curious looks, not sour hostile glares. Some even say "hello" in passing. Interestingly, I haven't seen any migrants here...yet.

11:30 pm and the hell raisers of Kaunas are out ripping their throttles every minute or so. One machine was so explosively loud it set off somebody's burglar alarm. In five hours the dawn will break, and the curtains won't keep the light out. Sleep deprivation might as well be considered part of the travel experience. Get used to three hours of sleep a night, and six hours of lying half-awake trying to sleep. My clothes are drying on a string of shoelaces tied up across the room, because washing machines here don't come with dryers for some reason. $35 per night is rock bottom for a room here in Republica Lietuva. Shared kitchens and bathrooms are annoying. Hmm, vanlife innawoods is starting to look more attractive again after all this urban slumming...

Does it really matter if one out of every 200 people you see is non-white? It's still miles better than America. I've been traveling for almost three weeks now, seen non-whites in just about every town I've been to, but not a single one of them was behaving inappropriately. The only exception was a horribly stinky Paki at the train station hostel in Elk, Poland. The entire place reeked of his vomitous rotten-milk body odor every time he stepped out of his room door.

I am an eccentric bachelor to the urbanites of Kaunas, not an incel loser. Europeans have always been fond of foreign eccentrics. Lithuanians are very courteous and attentive to others in public settings. Still, being at the bottom of the affluence and desirability ladder can leave you feeling glum and alienated from the happy chatter, unable to patronize any of the businesses you see. Middle-aged men and women notice me, but never the pretty girls. Two days is enough; tomorrow I move on to Siauliai.

Untrue. You will see the occasional negro or South Asian in every Polish city, large or small. Like I said, 1 in 200 doesn't really make a difference.
>>2802455
What has changed? American police have become much more tolerant and lax, after Americans endlessly crying about "muh jackbooted power-tripping tyrants" and "muh rights". Creating a public disturbance has become a constitutionally protected right, and carrying lethal weapons around without a permit has also become a constitutionally protected right. This gives American cities their feral character, where it feels like anything can pop off at any moment.

None of this is the case in Eastern Europe. Law and order still reigns supreme. Here in Kaunas, the pajeets and negroes study at the university and work their evening jobs. They understand that living here is a privilege not to be taken lightly. Lithuanians are hospitable people, and they get along very well with their visitors and temporary residents.

Vilnius, bleh. It has some pretty girls and historic streets, but it just feels like it's missing something. Everyone here is an NPC. Every 30 seconds you see a jeet passing by delivering food on a bike. Two nights is all I care to stay here.
