Is there an upper class in Pakistan that is liberal and educated with liberated, promiscuous women - and could a traveler mingle within such a circle?

> Is there an upper class in Pakistan that is liberal and educated
Of course. Rich landowners are frequently quite secular and liberal, as are the urban rich, and, surprisingly, lots of the most senior military officials:
>with liberated, promiscuous women -
That’s less realistic. Bourgeois or elite young Pakistani women are very often not as sexually constrained as the masses, at least behind closed doors, but most of them are still going to be expected to be officially virgins when they marry their cousin or some fellow-zamindar oligarch’s kid, and concerted efforts will be made to keep up appearances and be extremely discreet about any haram hijinks they might get up to before they’re hitched. Nobody inside the country could realistically be described as promiscuous by Western standards, and the ones who come closest hook up almost exclusively while living or studying abroad.

>and could a traveler mingle within such a circle?
Inside Pakistan, you’re honestly probably much too poor for most of them, unless you’re already hanging out in millionaire/socialite circles at home. Even if you are unusually loaded, you’ll have better chances of partying with this set in London or NYC or Dubai than in Karachi or Lahore.

>upper class
you do realize that the actual upper class is probably way above you?
and that you won't get into it no matter what?

even in poor countries
or especially in poor countries
they are ridiculously protective and control their social circle

I'm from a well off family myself

when at home, in central Europe,
you could meet one of the wealthiest 200 people in my country and don't even notice
even if you knew, they are typically super friendly, low key and have friends from regular backgrounds (not minimum wage regular, like master degree or owning workshop regular)

but India (I assume it's similar in Pakistan) kinda traumatized me
lived there just shy of half a year
absolutely unbelievable how they controlled their friends and all social events
no chance of getting anywhere
like zero contact to socially lower people and every conversation is valued
and unless they know exactly who you are, you'll be shunned
all 2nd or 3rd gen heirs btw
