Parents booked a one week vacation in Northern Ireland in August and are inviting me expenses paid. Thing is I don't see anything exciting to do. Archive says it's boring and expensive. Tips?

>Parents booked a one week vacation in Northern Ireland
>and are inviting me expenses paid
quality time with family AND free of charge!?
what's there to not like?

>Archive says it's expensive
why do you care?
remember
>expenses paid

>it's boring
well it kinda is
long term
but for a week it's absolutely alright

few things I liked
>hiking parts of the Causeway Coastal Route
>giant's causeway
>Glenariff Forest Park
>Game of Thrones tour (walking tour through a few filming locations)
>hiking Mourne Mountains
>Rathlin Island
went there with my wife to a spa hotel which was built into a castle
really dug the vibe of it
and the rural scenery is beautiful

>Tips?
why are your parents going?
have you travelled before? if its foreign to you and youve not travelled you should go
if you have free time in abundance like summer vacation or just a bum then go
if you have limited vacation time and a family to support then consider options i guess.

how bad could it be? enjoy the experience of travel, enjoy the differences in everyday stuff. see the memes of local culture good or bad. what will you do at home assuming you live with parents.. wank and eat pizza? can do that in your hotel room on vacation!

you could join the real IRA to spice things up? but seriously, Ireland doesn't sound like your cup of tea.

I'm not OP, but I'm gonna assume it's just like 99% of the case where it's an American or Canadian going "back" to Ireland to "explore their heritage." In the case of Americans, they're usually from Boston.

Titanic museum is actually pretty good and doing one of those taxi tours of the dangerous areas is quality too. Food in Ireland is also surprisingly excellent, good quality but also lots of variety too.

It's literally bong food but worse, except maybe butter

Not OP, but I'll be in Dublin for 3 days at the end of the month. What are some must see sights?

Get drunk and have laughs with Irish people. See some traditional music.
