I will be driving from Austria to the coast of Montenegro and the further to Albania.

Can someone give me any tips for a place worthwhile a stopover maybe around halfway?
Would also be grateful to receive any info on quiet beachtowns in Albania.

I have been there before, but it’s a while ago and we kinda rushed through.

holy fuck thats a picture of herceg novi, a shithole city with thousands of stairs and 40C at 11pm....you will have random city employees running leaf blowers anywhere from 4am to 6am during you stay, there will be garbage, the water will smell like sewage and be really gross and slow moving because it is in the bay
herceg novi has a fuck ton of stairs which make enjoying it fucking impossible in the summer heat
just fucking skip montenegro and go to croatia, and i say that as a serb

Montenegro: Budhva, kotor. Podgorica is boring.
Albania: Durrës is cheap, but its a rocky beach. Gyrokastar is awesome, but quite busy during june-august. Vlora is top tier.
Inbetween them I'd say Krujë. Big mountains north of Tirana, food is cheap and the view is amazing
