Ghent, Bruges, Antwerp if you had to choose 1?

The whole country is ground zero for "globohomo". It's the home of EU after all, you're gonna have a hard time avoiding it desu. With that being said Bruges hits the other points pretty well.

Art Nouveau's origin (Victor Horta townhouses, Hôtel Tassel / Solvay / van Eetvelde, Stoclet Palace all UNESCO and many more regular art nouveau buildings)
also the Grand-Place

pretty much all member states are protectionist and anti-immigration now

also outside of like 2 neighborhoods in Brussels, Belgium is pretty homogeneous (like 2% non-EU immigrants)

again, if you're into architecture Brussels IS the best destination in Belgium

it's not only Art Nouveau, just the one Brussels is the most known and most prominent example for
you'll find representative buildings for
>Art Deco
>Neoclassical
>Gothic
>Neo-Renaissance
>Brutalism
and of course Modernism (but you don't need any specific city for that)
because it's a wealthy city that build "contemporary" for hundreds of years now

apart from that, many museums with great Art from all epochs
