Hi /trv/,

I have a 22+ hour flight coming up soon, with a brief layover inbetween. The longest I've spent on a plane is about 4 hours so I'm looking for tips and advice on how to stay comfy on a flight that long. Do you recommend buying one of those neck pillows some people have? Thanks

I just stare at the airplanes 3D GPS route tracking tv channel for 10 hours. Noise canceling headphones are a must.

The key is admitting nothing you do will be particularly useful or fun. Even fun shit like a game or movie you've been waiting on will feel weird on a plane. Just let the time melt away doing random shit, return to monke

I played vampire survivors for 4 hours on mobile.
Also download some twitch vods or 40 minute+ youtube videos to watch on your phone. Take a power bank.

Neck pillows are okay, but I'd rather just have a window seat and lean against the wall. Noise-cancelling headphones are more important. Just look forward to the snacks and meals provided and make it a point to get up and move around the cabin every hour.

Same. I get motion sick trying to read or watch movies on planes so I just throw that on. Also helps I'm a bit of a plane autist. Really wish they would throw more information on there or even an ADSB map of the local area.

Just fly business like any normal person. Enjoy a good meal, drink a beer or two or enjoy a Brandy, sleep for some hours and that's it.

Why didn't you book an overnight layover?

Yeah, so much fun when you start feeling shitty after 8 hours of drinking mini shots, with only 16 hours left to go.

Watch anime. I’ve rewatched all of Initial D season 1 by watching episodes on a plane

Get waxed cotton earplugs. You will be entirely deaf if you sit them correctly in your ear.

I've been on a few of those and I just listen to music and podcasts, often while also playing Sudoku because it eats away enough of the remaining mental space to let the audio entertain me fully.
Of course, in flight movies are also quite a good time waster (if you have them). In general, just prepare a nice mix of stuff, because 20 hours of just 1 thing will always be boring.
