As far as i see it and despite living in europe i wasnt in any of these countries for a while. But from what i see and hear its endless hordes of boomers and overtourism. Also more and more noneuropeans. And extremely overpriced.
Any Opinions?

I mean, yes and no.

I remember being in Rome back in 2013. It was the middle of August, it was oppressively hot, tourist were everywhere, hostel was a shithole. I was not having a good time by any traditional metric.

At same time. Are you really gonna go all the way to Italy and not see Rome? The Vatican, St. Peters, The Colloseum? Yeah, these places are over-touristed, but there is a reason. I saw them all and I'm glad I did. I've been back to Europe 5 times since then and have not been back, never will.

I never really understood Greece though. There are many other places in the Mediterranean that are just a beautiful with 1/10th the tourist footprint.

Depends on what the goals of your vacation are. To see a bunch of cool old shit. Yeah, you're gonna to deal with over tourism and heavy crowds. If your goal is to relax and have a more authentic experience you're gonna have to plan a little more and think outside the box.

Publishing the ratio of tourists to local by season should be mandatory. This shit is unsustainable.

How are they in the fall compared to the summer? Sometimes outside of summer tourism isnโ€™t as bad

there are rural and decaying parts of all these countries that are not over run with tourism if thats what you like
there are medium tourism or low tourism locations that are like the 3rd or 4th choice tier place to go that are not over run with tourism

just dont do the top 10 on trip advisor and its fine anon

Havr. The outer island by Zadar. Maybe a tier below Crete but not over-touristed and more laid back.

It's really not bad outside of the containment zones
