Does any burger here have experience doing a masters program in Europe? I have been eyeing Bologna because I like Italian women and the city seems vibrant and appealing to me. I somewhat care about the weight of the degree but won't make it a limiting factor if I am being honest, I am in my mid 20s and have alot of savings from waging. Will I be disapointed and singled out as a burger, even if I try to learn Italian? Am I better off just trying my luck with a digital dorker path? If there are any other cities in Italy or Europe in general that have a good social life that doesn't exclude sub7 males I would be open to them. And no I am not going solely for females but of course that would be a plus, but not a dealbreaker if I am sexless.

guys who fuck at home will fuck abroad
if you are in a degree program presumably in english you will meet others that are open to working and socializing in english.
the hardest thing in itally is breaking into a friend group, so being in the uni program sets you to be around others.
there will always be groups of women who like you for x trait, groups that dislike you for x trait, but being american is identifiable enough there will be some that see it as a bonus so you will have opportunities if you are able to break through socially.
in a university town there are enough women that can speak english if you are outgoing enough to meet them. i suppose smoking is the ultimate icebreaker for this, they hear your broken italian, you learn if they try to engage in english.
every country has women that are enamoured by foreign cool countries and are tired of the local guys for whatever reasons (usually dumped by their highschool boyfriend)

Just learn the language. Like, its doesn't have to be perfect but spend 30 mins a day towards it.

As a 30 year old corporate wage there is nothing I regret more than not putting the effort into learning German during my exchange year. Would anything be different now? Maybe, but I would have had a better time and who know what doors could have opened. I stil go back to Germany and have an elementary understanding of the language, but I wish I had applied myself.
