What places are good to visit during Christmas if I want to avoid Christmas as much as possible? I have heard good things about Vietnam, Thailand, Philippines and nearby places.
Anyone have any experience traveling during this time?

Thailand still has xmas decorations everywhere, anywhere that Westerners gather, even though they don't officially celebrate it or make it a public holiday. The Philippines is a fucking catholic country.

Philippines is majority Catholic and Vietnam is like 30% and having been in Thailand around Christmas there were still trees and decorations at some malls and stuff. You're best bet is probably a non-SEA, non shithole muslim country

Go to Israel.
Jews hate Christmas so much they want it banned worldwide.
In fact, I am just going to assume you are also a Jew

I actually used to be like OP. I wanted to travel during Christmas so I can avoid Christmas. Turns out the problem wasn't Christmas in general. The real problem was the American version of Christmas.
I found European Christmas to be very warm and cozy. They weren't subtle with it, but they also weren't obnoxious about it. It was the perfect balance.

So all OP has to do is simply not go to the US or Canada during Christmas.

Vietnam surprisingly goes all-out for Christmas, almost as hard as the Americans. The Philippines loves getting a headstart on Christmas, they start as early as August.

that's probably because you are just looking for a reason to be yet another foreign sex pest, anon
but, if you really want to avoid christmas, you could try any of the countries that are apparently the most oppressive towards christians:
north korea
somalia
libya
eritrea
yemen
pakistan
sudan
you get the idea
i would have suggested saudi arabia, but apparently it is ok to mention christmas there now, since there are so many flips working there and most of them are nominally christians. back in the day when i worked there, it was illegal to show any kind of non muslim loyalty although i did find a shop selling imported chocolate and so on including some euro chocolate with frohe weinachten, joyeux noel etc written on it so they probably only think christmas is written in english or summat
anyway you're probably just a miserable cunt. form some normal human relationships and spend christmas with those

Your best bet, unless you want a muslim country, is Laos. They don't put xmas shit everywhere like their Thai cousins.

There's also Mongolia and Nepal, but they'll be very cold at that time.

Saying that, hotels and restaurants aimed at tourists will likely still do it wherever you go. There's no escaping it entirely.

I went to Vietnam 4 years ago during christmas and saw no decorations at all. Has it changed since then or are you bullshitting?

I wonder how many people have been hit on that train track. Not only is it narrow, it's clearly very popular with tourists, so at least some of them are dumb enough to let it happen. The math makes perfect sense in my head.

Imagine how beautiful this spot must have been 30 years ago without all the obnoxious tourists and their fucking cellphones.

Las Vegas.
Also, low rates on hotels until New Years and eve.

There are dedicated Christian towns/parts that celebrate Christmas, all out with the decoration, making mock-up big caves with lamb, jesus, etc. (sorry I don't know their real name, I'm not religious)
But if you are not in those parts, you won't see them.

This
Go board the train in Bangkok at Hua Lumphong or Thonburi if you want to see some squalid trackside slums. Nothing at all pretty about them.

To catch a ride on OP's thread, what are some good places to visit in Europe over the Christmas period if I am not really interested in a "white christmas" and I don't really want to go skiing/or snowboarding. Some places I have been thinking area. I know some of these aren't Europe so don't crucify me.
>Turley
>Cyrpus
>Bosnia
>North Macedonia
>Sicily
>Tunisia
This is a list randomly thrown together so any advice would be gr8
