I want to spend a week in an AirBnB on or near the beach in Portugal with friends in October.

Would places like Carcavelos or Cascais on the west of Lisbon be a good choice? Or do the beaches there suck and we're better off somehwere remote with a rental car?

fly to faro, whole of algarve is nice beaches
dont need to be remote but u can

the tide isn't as high as on the atlantic coast part tho
