Just got back from a long weekend in Singapore. Was quite underwhelmed by the experience. It was pretty gay and I would recommend KL instead.

Singapore is very expensive and not very friendly for short term guests unless you can pay out. It's a great place to work and live though I guess if you land a job. For example just like in Hong Kong and experienced subject teacher with native English passport can get paid 130-140kusd with a housing stipend which more than covers the additional cost of living.

they max out at ~700-800k RMB per year for teaching with a PhD and like 10y+ experience
which is ~110k USD at the absolute maximum
entry salaries there are more akin to ~300-400k RMB with a Master degree in Education
