without exception, every young Filipina is giving in to the temptation to ask for free money online if you try to meet them on a dating application/website. It is impossible to distinguish the really bad actors from the bad actors. They're all swapping notes about how to get the most from foreigners (as well as fellow Filipinos alike; they're not just doing these things to foreigners), and it has turned into a game of one-upsmanship between the girls to say how they got the most for doing the least. This is like western women going to a bar to see how many free drinks they can get.

Man-hate and feminism are FULL BORE now. I have videos of malls with huge displays up so that even the lowest IQ Filipinos can understand that women are being glorified.

I also have a video I took of a girl's phone of just how many men women are messaging and what men are saying to them if anyone is interested in seeing it. A lot of men are simply genuinely seeking an emotional connection to a woman, however the women are happy to send you a few terse messages, letting you believe she's listening, then these dummies start sending her money for free. However, if you know the Philippines you can glean from the context that they're pretending to make these videos for westerners while their real intention is to stroke the ego of Filipinos they know are watching the channel to earn their favor. Some Canadian guy has an uber cringey channel where he does this all the time. Other channels seem to be fully AI generated and are espousing truths about the Philippines from over a decade ago.

Some channels look to be AI generated, as they're mixing information from 9+ years ago in with modern info, and these facts were not true at the same time. Brian the Lion is a completely noncredible channel, just to name one.

IDK why, but there is a trend on youtube of gen X'ers and baby boomers espousing ideas that haven't been true in the Philippines for 6+ years (starting in 2019); for example, they tell you you can go to the mall to meet girls. I'd like to note that the average IQ in the Philippines is 81.5 and they're still flush with cash because there are so many new tourists all the time (plus the aforementioned retards tipping and sending money). Which brings me to my next point about why crime/scams & general exploitative tourist culture is so high right now; there is always a new sucker to take the place of someone who won't be a return customer. First of all, people around the world have been hearing that they can come to the Philippines & simply dominate with their money. Well, no. It's a seller's market in the Philippines now & Filipinos have no compunction about stealing or ripping off foreigners. There are people constantly getting drugged and robbed IN THE DISCOS!! Forget the number getting drugged in their hotel rooms or elsewhere - they're drugging you in a public place with lots of people & robbing you there. This particular situation happened at least 5 times in the 4 months I was visiting. Pretty much every establishment will try to rip you off at some point. If you go to a restaurant they'll run a number of scams to try & steal your money. One that I saw a lot was the staff taking 20+ minutes to bring you your change; they know a certain number of tourists are in a rush or will forget about it, and they'll keep your $10-15 in change. I waited 35 minutes one time for them to bring me my change and 40 minutes on another occasion; 20 minutes was common though. If you go to a restaurant with locals, they'll order food in Tagalog without approving it with you, and they'll bring $40+ worth of food to the table all at once and the Filipinos will refuse to pay & they'll say that you have to pay or they're calling the police on you.

The children are straight up saying "give me money" when you see them now. Even if you're deep in the province. IDK how these trends happen simultaneously all over the Philippines (social media?) but they do.

There was 1 murder or missing person reported every other week within 1 mile of Red Street for the entire 4 month trip.

* DISEASES OF THE PHYSICAL AND MENTAL VARIETIES
The first point is short and sweet: tourists and Filipinas are getting shitloads of STDs and NEITHER is treating them. There was a guy out there that had full blown gonhorrea and he gave it to dozens of girls before he left. Also, the Philippines has no way of dealing with mental disorders so these people are allowed to run rampant everywhere and cause unlimited amounts of damage & they do leave a trail of destruction & influence those around them to act similarly, hence the air of fear and distrust in the air all over the Philippines.

This trip forced me to see exactly HOW what we call "sexual liberation" in the west comes full circle back to why people need to get married and stick with whoever they marry, for better or worse. Just get rid of this dating nonsense and be done with it for life. this explains why mental illness used to be noticed more easily and something was done about it; now nearly all women are broken and people take it as normal.

I did not take many pics in the Philippines, because I was reluctant to photograph people without asking, and people were everywhere. Traveling in Asia for the first time, I was a complete rookie.

My Fil-Am coworker here is going to Manila in September.

Manila has excellent pedestrian infrastructure, but you have to go very slowly along the sidewalk if you are wide. Some people literally live on the sidewalk, sleeping in reclining chairs next to their wares. Everyone has a right to their body space in PH, even in the Divisoria market. It was my first time moving in a hyper-crowded public space. There are complete jams on the street, with everything at a standstill, then it frees up again and you trudge forward at a snail's pace behind the bumper of a tricycle.

Next time I visit the PH, if ever, I will take a ferry out of Manila port with an air-con bunk.

Arroceros Forest Park isn't much, but it's all you got for publicly accessible nature in Manila. I got a nasty tropical illness in the city. Mosquitoes would slip through the cracks around the poorly fitted windows and lie in wait until I slept. Devilishly fast and clever little buggers, laden with diseases.

This was a massive red flag, but because I had already proposed, I dug my heels in. I found a way to forgive her after she promised to cut off all communication with him. Back in the US, I started the fiancée visa process. About a year and a half later, I went back to the Philippines and leased a condo in BGC for her and the kids while we waited out the final nine months of the visa process. We are now all here in the US, living in a rental with one car.
