Eggers is so fucking boring. He is like James Gray except he makes glacial tone piece genre instead of dude 70s yeshiva crime slop. The other big difference is Eggers last movie made money because people see a Dracula movie that looks spooky and fashionable and wanna get laid so he now gets a decade long run except it's more like the pretentious crawl of a hipster roach on a far bare wall when you're in bed.
You can already picture Eggers's Christmas Carol, it's like we've already seen it, the snow coal mixed slush, the exaggerated winter breaths and top hats, the over done street lanterns and "tasteful" horse shit site gag, the secular coldness punctuated with crimson decor and shocks of green wreaths, some shill warning "the ghosts are surprisingly well done and not for the faintest of heart while still be true to Dickens' source material," a brief spatter of "Dafoe for Best Actor" and "Possibly the best Scrooge in half a century" that dissipates in two weeks.

I will pay $25 to see that this slosh in a stocking is not made unless elfin Sweeney is pinned in a corset Irreversible style
