I'm not quite sure what you're trying to say but the episodes have massive wide appeal and only a few moments and the last episode ever focus on any kind of deeper lore.

i'm ranting about ongezellig, another indie production that anon brought up
personally I think DHMIS could have worked better the "deep lore" episode, in the miniseries it's all there nice and easy, but in the tv show it's a bit of an obvious hook asking for a 2nd season. I'd have much preferred if they kept it to the car episode, which was less overt and kept a more tense atmosphere all throughout without getting rid of the humor (TIME CHILD)
by comparison the electricity episode starts jam-packed with jokes like friends but starts losing steam around the middle
otherwise it's pretty great, i fucking love death and friendship

I remember this shitty show being shilled on /tv/ and retards I knew at the time. Ended up watching stale hipster trash. Not high-brow, not funny, just puppets. Some of the actual behind the scenes work done was nice and had soul. That's the best I can say about it.
