the body count of that series was just ridiculous. In just one episode an innocent, joyful secretary gets shot in the face, a doctor defending his patient gets killed and more random people are murdered just because they were in the way of the villain. I haven't watched this in a long time, but this always stuck out to me.

I fucking love all the 80's and 90's vehicle based crime shows. Airwolf, Knight Rider, Street Hawk, Thunder in Paradise. It was a weird trend.

We can stretch out the time period, and include all sorts of gems, like 18 Wheels of Justice from 2000, starring Billy Dee Williams and G. Gordon Liddy.

>He was a cop, and good at his job. But then he committed the ultimate sin and testified against other cops - gone bad. Cops who tried to kill him but got the woman he loved instead. Framed for murder, now he prowls the badlands. An outlaw hunting outlaws, a bounty hunter - a renegade!
Why don't we get cool opening narrations that quickly explain the premise of the show anymore?

Why did America drop native Indian MCs and supporting characters in the 2000s?
To me, a European, they gave a certain mystique to US
>>211373632
Because TV went from making 20 episode seasons where some episodes feel like filler to 10 episode seasons where all episodes feel rushed because they have to cram that filler somewhere

because it was before any kind of on-demand streaming most of these shows were pretty episodic and not serialised stories, viewers being able to join in watching a show later in it's run or missing episodes was catered to more than it is today, a quick rundown of the premise in the intro and 'previously on' segments at the start were much more common.
