Nolan comes from an alien race of conquerors his job was to conquer earth. He fails because hes too pussy to kill invincible leaves and knocks up a literal insect. Bunch of boring shit happens and nolan kills his leader and in the end he gets his race to mix with humans et al.

The writer is trying to get a cheap reaction from the stark contrast in tone between it and earnest works like Superman. One asks, "what if superman le bad?" and realizes that in reality, beings at every level of power hold only an illusory morality that is irrevocably rooted in selfishness and personal bias, and that when the giant walks the ants cower. After this brief revelation, the concept quickly grows stale and unattractive, reminding readers why they chose fiction in the first place.
