If it came out today it would be the best movie to come out in thirty years but it’s not even Hitchcock’s best work imo. Or Jimmy Stewart’s for that matter. Great movie though. I think North By Northwest is Hitchcock’s masterpiece, I’ve heard others say Vertigo.

It's pretty much reddit meets netflix meets globohomo feminism. Basically it's feminism the movie made to hypnotise the viewer into thinking "white men bad" and "POC women good". There isn't really much more to this dreary film than that.

North by Northwest has gone up in prestige over the years. It used to hover in the #4, #5, or #6 slots, but now I often see people put it in the top three. Much as I love the film, Cary Grant engages me less than Jimmy Stewart. He's such a leading man; I prefer when more of an everyman type gets tangled in one of Hitchcock's nightmares.

Rope is another one that shot up in prestige. Jimmy Stewart's role as a cynic (a first for him) used to be polarizing, but now people praise it for breaking the mold. It's interesting how tastes change.

Starring famously swarthy Grace Kelly, apparently.

Grace Kelly's introduction in this movie is one of the most exquisite put to film. David Lynch paid it homage well too.

Not to be that guy but Stewart played mean bastards in Anthony Mann's Noir Western's that came out before Rear Window.

Hmm, no. I hate how cheap the production design looks, Hitchcocroach was a lazy retard.

I like Disturbia more honestly. Rear Window's good sure, but it's just good, Hitchcock has many movies that are much better than it.
