Why are car chases non-existent in modern film/TV aside from CGI Vin Diesel slop?
>>211395761 (OP)It's no longer exciting to watch people drive cars.

>>211395761 (OP)They don't know how to make movies anymore.
>>211395761 (OP)um you want to risk somebody's life for your little car chase sequence?? i'm literally shaking right now, that is NOT okay
>>211395761 (OP)What you mean? Every action movie got some car chase scene in it, yeah usually CGI crap because what modern audiences went. Some revolving 360 bullshit.
>>211395761 (OP)More profitable to make car commercials then movies.
zoomers can't drive, it's too overwhelming
>>211395761 (OP)coz it's (usually) shit time-padding cinema.
Because they're expensive, require a lot of planning, and they look like shit in widescreen format.
All the car chase bits in this kind of illustrate the sort of shit you can't get away with anymore.

MI: Dead Reckoning had a cool car chase.
Iām surprised so few movies try to capture the feeling of driving fast with the top down, considering that movies are largely made by rich Californians who I assume do that stuff all the time.
>>211398372Do young people like convertibles? Everyone I know who drives one is wealthy and over 60.
>>211395761 (OP)Its dangerous and you need skill. Safer to plug in some cgi.
>>211398405Its just another thing that can break. Only retirement folks moving to Florida buy them.
>>211395761 (OP)To do it cheap and good, you need stunt crews and people that know how to operate a camera outside of a studio environment along with coordination and practice. It's easier just to spend 4mil shooting actors sitting on a green box holding a steering wheel with locked down cameras on the default settings and fix everything in post.
