those are too high brow for the modern audience. Family Guy is just memes and funny voices.

The simpsons stopped mattering almost thirty years ago and South Park make the horrendous decision to shift from purely episodic to contiguous

They desperately need to go in a different direction. Something like altering Stewie’s character design to look older now that he’s in preschool, or Meg becoming a mom or Peter and Lois getting divorced for several episodes at least. Do something with the show that isn’t just “hey what’s the current trendy thing and how can we turn that into a 20 minute preachy joke machine?” that has been plaguing the show for almost 20 years.
