I can't think of any cultural Irish exports that are universally known except bagpipes (which are more associated with Scotland anyway), U2, or alcoholism. The only Irish movie I can think of that people remember is the Crying Game, and I don't care for it

I like derry girls a lot. Yes it's really an english production and it's based in northen ireland but whatever.

It's great to reminisce on the 90's and you know how much we all here like to dwell in fucking nostalgia.

The girls and the guy and the old people and the nun are all extremely charming characters. I don't know, it's the happiest a show has made me feel in a long time

I encourage anybody who can pass the fact that it's a girls show to watch it. It's filled with a sincere joie de vivre that few other modern shows have
