The Indominus Rex was a cool one-off boss but mutant Dinos should have never been mentioned or featured again. Dinos are already alien creatures to us that came in every shape and size, like I see in the trailer raptors with wings, ok? Why not just use some whacky species of pterodactyl for that scene instead and showcase them, you just make up some stupid looking creature whatโ€™s the point of this crap then, itโ€™s an asylum movie now if thereโ€™s no dinosaurs in it.

The giant locust thing was retarded, the indoraptor was retarded. The indorex was retarded

JUST MAKE DINOS, ADD NEW ONES, thatโ€™s what people loved about the movies. The only thing I remember from seeing Dominion was Pyroraptor and the tickle chicken murder turkey. The giga was sort of nice but they made him too cartoonish. It was also nice to see allosaurus finally

Just like that invisible not Rex right? What was it called?
Or the other not Rex in the other one. What was that called?

The Mosasaur was barely in the movie and seems to have been the breakout star. Somehow they only realized that now, and put in a scene especially for it to be in on the action. I guess itโ€™s hard to do something interesting and The Meg essentially covered that ground with extreme silliness.

Raptors and Rexie is the bread and butter of the franchise.

You know what's funny? Kids love Raptors and kids love the T-Rex, but kids ALSO love Triceratops and it's never really been prominently featured in a JP movie. It gets one shot where it's sick and decrepit in the very first movie, along with a pile of its turds prominently featuring, and then... nothing. Why not put a Triceratops in a JP movie? Hell, have it fight the T-Rex, that's a classic dino battle.

JP is essentially action horror after Spielberg. Veggiesauruses donโ€™t play well. But I agree they could do a lot more and itโ€™s be a nice homage to the roots of the whole genre.

There's actually a decent amount of evidence that the Trike was extremely aggressive for a herbivore. Like a rhino, basically, it would go around and fuck shit up across the flatlands. The males seem to have paired up into rowdy micro-herds in their juvenile years that caused a lot of trouble.

This shit has no weight to it, a mosasaurus could weight up to 45 tons according to Google, and the one in the scene is larger than the boat yet when it jump out of the water right next to it it barely causes a splash. Seconds later he hits the boat but all it does is make the boat go up like 5 inches and the only one affected by it is Scarjo. A blue whale going at that speed would have made the hull cruple. The weird crap about not being able to hit it and stopping to stare at it coming straight at them instead of shooting it when he's right in their faces doesn't help build tension either.

I mean it leaves a hell of an impression in JP3, doesn't it? As others have observed, the thing is basically a horror movie villain. It keeps showing up for jump scares and it won't fucking die. Whatever else it was, the Spino was memorable.

Which is why fans want it back.
People desperately want the franchise to go back to feeling like a light horror movie or a graphic gorefest like the novels, where anybody is fair game to get eaten alive by dinosaurs, emphasis on DINOSAURS.
