A purist would say these people arenโt real actors but Iโd argue a ton of past celebrities who made entertaining movies/tv really just viewed acting as a means to an end. Now, if youโre a young person who just wants to be famous, you have (debatably better) options. If your goal is to be famous are you going to train for years, audition for years, be rejected and lose roles to more connected people, and if you ever do get work then pay your agent and management and taxes a percentage of whatever you earn OR do you just buy a ring light and a microphone and start streaming?
