This is the space thread? I have a space question. They say when you look very far away with telescope and you a see distant galaxy that is billion light years away...but it is also billion years in the past....but the universe is expanding. Does that mean that billion years old and billion light years away galaxy was really right next to our own galaxy a billion years ago. So the light that was emited was very close but it still took a billion years to reach us? whoa dude
