She's really really really fucking hot. They don't give oscars to hot women unless they do some kind of humiliation ritual in a movie. Look at hale berry getting her cunny and backdoor wrecked on screen.

Look at Charlize Therone with Monster. She had to do some serious stuff and ugly herself up a fuckton to get that nod.
Plus she's a hot blonde white woman. She has to go full mid in looks and do some serious acting in a real role to be seen as a "real actor". Remember.
Hot women don't win unless it's something really out of the oridnary plus she does somethign behind the scenes with someone poweful.
And average/mid/unconventionally attractive plus sexual role/retard role/crazy role AND connected = oscar nod.
