You're supposed to say "What did I think of it?"
You thought it was Anderson's best movie in over a decade. You thought the flat affect of the characters worked perfectly for the setting and plot in this instance. You thought Liesl was wife material. You thought it was straightforward and fun and that Anderson seemed less up his own ass this time.

I preferred the meta direction of Asteroid City and The Wonderful Story of Henry Sugar & Three More, this was basically a combination of like Grand Budapest period narrative and the style of what Wes Anderson did later, it's fine but just feels like autopilot cause he isn't trying something relatively new for himself that he did with the previous two releases. It's better than The French Dispatch I guess, that one was completely forgettable, The Phoenician Scheme is at least funny and I liked the characters.
The ending felt kind of rushed.

>The ending felt kind of rushed.
I thought it was alright, but mainly because the rest of the plot lacked any suspense or tension I think

It was mildly amusing while watching but I haven't really thought of it since.

I'm roped into seeing iit with someone.
Is it at least less boring than Asteroid City?

Yeah, there's lots of sabotage to keep it interesting.
Myself, I felt very excited.

I liked it much better than asteroid city. Not perfect but certainly entertaining. I do think he should branch out just a bit more and stop being so stubborn. He doesn’t need to abandon his style or approach completely but I do think a more conventional film and script with some of his flare would be a worthwhile experiment.

I don’t think his voice has become stale I think he just doesn’t experiment or stretch his legs enough.

French dispatch is better than this and both of them are better than MK. That shit is so incredibly overrated.

It’s a much more enjoyable film, yes. Only a contrarian would tell you otherwise.

This is a ridiculous post.

Why not just make a point about the film rather than play this faggy game of “kick the can down the road”?

It was a middle of the road Anderson flick
If you like his films, you'll like this
But it doesn't play with form as much as The French Dispatch or Asteroid City did
Cranston and Hanks playing basketball was fun

Scarlett reading her monologue off of a teleprompter was incredibly obvious but otherwise it was entertaining.

Though I will say the nun/church component felt a bit underbaked. That deserved a full sequence rather than just the visit from the nun. Especially given the afterlife sequences lacked any specific genesis.

I unironically want Wes Anderson to do a marvel movie. I like his style and vision but feel like he would benefit from being confined into someone else’s vision to make a more interesting movie

Wes Anderson needs to get Owen Wilson to help with his scripts again.
