Nobody ever cared when Cleopatra was played by an Anglo woman who looked nothing like the statues we have of the real Cleopatra. This is just a lame race war with obviously ill intentioned people on both sides. Realistically speaking, in a society that's increasingly multiethnic, it should be fine for people to play characters even if they're not the same ethnicity or race. Does anyone but a handful of assmad losers care that Yul Brynner built his entire career of classic films doing that? Obviously not and definitely not the same people complaining now.
