S6 was okay, but weaker for the most part. I did like the flash sideways and the last episode a lot, though.

Yes, Season 6 did Locke dirty, but despite the purgatory plotline being kinda weak overall, Jack and Locke in purgatory were easily the best part of season 6, by a huge margin. Felt like a perfect bookend to their turbulent relationship.

Ben chokes him to death after he decides not to suicide. Ben fakes Lockes suicide as part of the plan to get Jack and friends back to the island
The smoke takes over as Locke when Lockes corpse is brought back to the island on the second plane.

Season 3 was filled with dogshit and pure kino episodes. Season 4 was great. Season 5 is where it went off the rails.

We deserved a better series.
The show pretty much fucked itself into oblivion in such weird and confusing way, while in the same time tarnishing how television was made for the next 6-8 years

2) Fire your script department at least once per season, just to make sure
3) Also, have a writer's guild massive protest in the middle of it
In retrospect, LOST made even shit like Chris Carter's writing of The X Files look like a coherent and concentrated effort to deliver a high-quality story
