What was it about Coco that absolutely oozes soul and was so comfy while Encanto felt so empty and forgettable?

I liked Coco but I don't think that movie has any appeal towards kids

I like that Coco was just straight up brutal against Mexicans if you look at it objectively. They worship a bandito, they aren't Christian at all, they get pregnant at 16 (do the math that was his GREAT grandma). So yeah I love that movie it shows Catholics and Mexicans as the absolute heathens they are.

Encanto is more of a regular princess movie just set in Columbia.

Coco is definitely more representative of mexican culture than Encanto is of Colombian one, the latter is more than anything an embellishment through the lens of a liberal arts major with a tumblrcore design for the MC and all.
