>Cyclonopedia is an extraordinary tract, an uncategorizable hybrid of philosophical fiction, heretical theology, aberrant demonology and renegade archeology. It aligns conceptual stringency with exacting esotericism, and through its sacrilegious formulae, geopolitical epilepsy is scried as in an obsidian mirror.
Pretentious drivel. I imagine the author smoking a fat blunt while writing this excreta.

For anyone who doesn't know, it's a book about how crude oil in the mid east is actually alive and sentient on levels we don't understand and we are doing its bidding by building our culture around its byproducts and tearing ourselves apart over the land it resides in. It's a really interesting concept and one that I can't believe isn't a more common conspiracy theory. The more I think about it the more I think it might actually be true. The book is the definition of off the fucking rails. It's a great read.

Schizo kino. Got it. There is a Russian school of thought that posits oil will never run out and instead it regenerates.

There's a film called 'Blue' from 1993 in which the director Derek Jarman narrates his experience of dying from AIDS. That experience included partial blindness from his AIDS drugs, which left his remaining vision filtered through a monochromatic blue shade similar to the one appearing in the film:

I found it interesting that his visual filtering caused him to think more about the sky, and therefore eternity and matters beyond the Earth. Did contracting GRIDS from irresponsible gay sex induce him toward an eventual spiritual revival? Was there any non-human 'intentionality' present in this process? Can this be achieved without dying of GRIDS?
