I love actual F1, but the movie will flop because is aimed at an American audience, only. Americans in general prefer more boring and safe motor racing and, although F1 has fans there now, it tends to be among younger generations, the sort who will be put off by some boomer pushing 60 trying to sold as some amazing F1 driver. Anyone who knows anything about the sport won't be fooled into thinking it could ever happen, its actually physically and mentally demanding like other elete sports. One simply can't turn up and get in a car and win races just from having a good car, it might help, eg Lewis Hamilton, but that is not all of the equation at all. The sorts of gforces your body is subjected to alone might well be capable of crumbling the very bones of someone Brad Pitt's age if done long term and whiplash can snap older ligaments, thats before you get to how our reaction speeds dull as we get older. Good luck making that corner when you have to think about it a few seconds before you would have in your 20s just to get your body ready in time. There is a reason governments go to the expense of giving free bus passes to people of Brad Pitt's age, it is to try to get as many of them out of cars as possible because they might not realise it but they are a danger behind the wheel.

No one who actually watches F1 will be able to suspend disbelief for this very American "magic boomer" story, or care. So it will flop.

Fantastic 4 will flop because it is bland.

Imagine going back in time to 1999 and tell people: "This is it. The summit, the peak. It will never be as good as this.". Truly, this is the darkest possible timeline.

>Avatar 3
If this doesnt draw the massive crowds the second one got, i think its its gonna be the end for the franchise, Avatar lives entirely on hype and the second film got 15 years of anticipation, this one had 2 years, so people may not be rushing to see the next exciting chapter of the story, then again, the theme parks reaaally draw in people, weird how the fandom never managed to consolidate.

>Predator Badlands
May be a diamond in the rough, may be just another pointless entry, well have to wait and see.

>FNAF 2
This is probably gonna save the world economy by december hehehe were all gonna fucking dieeeee.

>Superman
James Gunn hasn't made an objectively bad capeshit film yet, he's not Kubrick, but he ain't Uwe Boll either. If this movie tanks it'll be because the studio raped it beyond recognition or because fans decided to sacrifice it at the altar, otherwise it may be a solid hit, just not a revoution of the medium.
It's been almost 20 years since the last standalone Sups film, if this one is simply unentertaining (which i doubt), then there's something very wrong in the system.

>Fantastic 4
I honestly have very low expectations for this, I think its just gonna be an instrument to correct the course of the Marvel empire into the new big bad: Doom.
Starting off straight into Marvel cosmic with Galactus and Silver Surfer may put the movie in an awkward spot, where it tries to juggle introducing the new FF and set the new direction for the next big event and have a big stupid space fight against a world-devourer force of nature.
I think it would have been best if what i've just described were 3 separate films instead of one.

>Wicked
The fandom is too strong with this one, its an easy win unless they pull a Cats.

>Jurassic World Rebirth
Maybe in china it will be a hit.

>Tron Ares
The Tron franchise, while interesting, has never had "IT" honestly, the first one was a cult classic with iconically horrible effects, the second one was a good revival but had a forgettable story, there may be potential, but it could just be a hollow laser show too.

>Mortal Kombat II
IS THIS A SEQUEL TO THE 90'S FILM?!?!?!?!
WTF, what kind of memeshit Morbius 2: Its Morbin' Time is this?

>The Running Man
Edgar Wright could pull it off, i like the fact that theyre basing it on the original story and not the first adptation.

>The Naked Gun
Leslie Nielsen IS Frank Debrin, in this aspect he is superior to Harrison Ford, imo. I think this is really gonna be just a zombie film that only grandpas and film nerds are gonna want to watch.
People dont need to go to the movies to laugh, they have the internet.

Didn't even know they were doing naked fun but I guarantee it will do poorly. The way times have changed, that type of humor is very niche in mainstream media. I can pretty much guarantee the gags will be like watching showgirls on abc.

Thunderbolts and MI already flopped
HtTYD, F1, Tron, Mortal Combat and Predator should flop.
Biggest box office > Avatar > Superman > Fantastic Four.

Technically it's part 2 of Wicked since it was designed as a 2 movie story.

F1 will flop in the U.S. because the U.S. won't comprehend why Brad's character sometimes turns right during the race scenes.

>The sorts of gforces your body is subjected to alone might well be capable of crumbling the very bones of someone Brad Pitt's age if done long term
It can break the bones of guys at any age if done long term. There's a reason that most Formula 1 drivers retire after a decade or so of non-stop racing.
>Good luck making that corner when you have to think about it a few seconds before you would have in your 20s just to get your body ready in time.
Actually this is one area where older drivers have a major advantage over younger drivers due to muscle memory. It's one thing being a couch potato driving their 1970 Ford at a leisurely pace through the suburbs being thrown into a high-intensity race and another being an actual pro who has done this thousands of times before.

If it flops itโ€™s because Gunn made an objectively bad capeshit film. Also Superman isnโ€™t popular.

I intended to watch MI for Cruise and I know he's really trying, but I can't deal with bullshit running times like that anymore. Such a movie needs to be about as engaging as a real life invasion by aliens or whatever.

Contemplating F1 or 28 years later.
