This was the last good procedural and they managed to eventually transition out from an episodic format and stick the landing (mostly). Miss it, especially the winter episodes that made NYC look comfy as fuck.

the guns are pretty realistically used usually, it is just a funny scene out of context
the machine is trying to save the team from dying and goes through hundreds of permutations per microsecond and the simulation gets dumber and less detailed to save time

I liked the first two seasons of this show but S3 feels like the writing's really taken a nosedive. I swear, the show gets worse whenever Root is onscreen.
