People are just nostalgic for late 2000s / early 2010s 4chan when we were more of a monoculture and were actually hyped for shows. Now everyone is too sarcastic, aggressive and jaded by each other and the shows we watch to recreate it, so we just keep spamming threads about Breaking Bad because it was our last hurrah, while we sit around waiting for the occasionally memeable event to happen to give us a fleeting moment of real fun, but those are becoming increasingly rare too (we're still fixated on crust busting and that was years ago)

No its not. That show is so godawful, I genuinely do not understand why that still gets talked about or is remembered at all still.

Breaking Bad isn't that good but it's the last watchable show that came out. For many it's the only watchable show that has come out in their lifetime. Older shows are better than Breaking Bad but they're old and harder for a newer audience to watch and harder to discuss as no one their age is going to watch them.
People pretend to like Better Call Saul because they are clinging on Breaking Bad.

If not for these two shows, what else would you be talking about? The Boys? Euphoria? From? Severance? There simply isn't anything watchable made after Breaking Bad. Compare any tv show made in the last 10 years and I guarantee Breaking Bad is better. Not because it's so good but because a 7/10 show beats any 2/10 show.

Breaking Bad is pure modern day kino and a gem. BCS had great characters, but honestly the Chuck arc is boring, and felt more like a gimmick centered around le wacky lawyer side character man from BB than its own good show. But it's decent enough and the actors are all top notch.
