i hate that since XP it's zoomed-to-fit by default, and the new Photos """app""" takes multiple clicks to get the image to display Actual Size. i want the pixels in the image to be pixels on the screen, most of the time.

Seconding irfanview. It was made in the 1990s by actual, competent programmers (not jeets) and simply works with everything. And it's super lightweight. There's no reason not to install it on every computer and remove bloated microshit junkware that it replaces.

Irfanview install folder is under 7mb. It doesn't constantly run in the background, it doesn't have any online features. It doesn't have a premium version or any kind of subscription. It doesn't have ads. It's a relic from when software was good.
